I drew Sam Reich today, the Dropout gang brings my heart so much joy

I also love it with the confetti and Stupendium song 😌

I had the idea of drawing him while watching Game Changer and thinking that he looks a lot like Pretty Patrick from Bee and Puppycat, so the style is quite inspired by him!

I did a drawing for my friend's birthday (their surname is removed for privacy)

I'm so so proud of it :3

Silly Game Time: Michelangelo's David is one of the most famous sculpture's in human history, depicting the biblical myth of a young shepherd (David) about to fight a cruel giant (Goliath) with only the power of God (and anime) (and a sling) on his side. But there's a mystery about this story that no one has been brave enough to answer ... until YOU came along!

So tell us, why the Judean heck did David decide to fight Goliath while completely starkers?

He was actually so mad at Goliath that he left without a weapon and then got halfway there, cooled off a bit, realised he needed *something* and made a sling out of his clothes. Then flung his balled up panties at the giant. One shotted him. Legend.

Silly Game Time: In honor of Diability Pride Month, who are some disabled characters you really like, and why? Their disability could be physical (loss of a limb or function in a limb, loss of a sense such as sight or hearing, chronic pain, etc.). Or it could be mental/emotional (such as a learning disorder, memory issues, emotional disregulation like depression or PTSD, etc.). Or it could be metaphorical/fictional (only really existing within the context of a given story, such as an inability to use magic). It can be congenital or due to an event in the characters' life, partial or complete, treated with medication/prosthesis or completely untreated.

The characters can be from any genre of any media (movies, shows, books, comics, games, etc.) (OCs count, too, if you like). All that matters is that they have some sort of disability, and you like them!

1. I love Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III (How to Train Your Dragon) not only does he have a physical disability where he loses his foot and creates his own modification for his flying apparatus to let him keep going, but in the beginning of the movies and books he's shown to have a different way of thinking to the rest of the island which makes me think of ND struggles 🩷

2. Laios from Dungeon Meshi who is canonically autistic. The monologue from the person he always considered to be a friend about how creepy he finds Laios always hits home, and getting excited about his special interest all the way though 🩷

3. I also love Viktor from Arcane! From my memory they never explain why Viktor has to use a cane and I really love that they have a disabled character and don't hinge their whole story on the disability itself, it's just part of him that's there alongside him while he's on his main journey and I love that 🩷

Silly Game Time: What are 3 things that can reliably make you smile?

V - violence (specifically from very small creature characters. I love it when the tiny frog craves to do murder)

R - rotating things in my mind. I don't know why but I just think it's funny, no one can stop me

V (again) - vibrant colours. When a colour just absolutely smacks me in my eyes - the ridiculous green of sea algae on the rocks, the middle aged hippie woman's fluro pink cardigan, a house painted the colour of the sun. Yes, gimme it. Instant smile

(also random tidbit: when me and my friend were both very depressed and lived far away from each other we would randomly drop a message saying "10 things please" and the other would reply with 10 things that made them smile that day, or as many as they could / the last things they could remember, and it helped so much - this question reminded me of it and also made me smile!)

Can we go back to... Moss? Dirt??? Where is mandated lie in the stream time?? New world gives no time for the classics and I object.

"Here I Come"

I don't often name my pieces. I dubbed this one after it was made (which I think is pretty regular behaviour) because, like with so much of my art over the years, I didn't realise the meaning of it until it was finished. I looked at my finished drawing and realised that it was capturing a feeling I'd been having for a while... Not only was I not depressed anymore, but I was actually beginning to float, too. Hope and wonder was falling about me, and my eyes sparkled with it again for the first time since I was very small.

This piece means a lot to me. ⭐
