something something dark magic
i’m not the first to make this crossover, but it’s too good to resist <3
bonus farcille:
Whoa, hey!
Obviously when everyone else is thinking how cool Falin is as a monster, Senshi is thinking of what a nutritional meal full of protein she’d make.
I love drawing in this style, it always makes me want to paint. I would love to do massive oil paintings that look biblical, but instead of depicting Christianity it’s just different anime. People would be all is that Jesus, and I’d be all no it’s Goku from Dragon Ballz.
Delicious and dragons

Storm-Power
There is something about the first rain After days of heat and sun That never fails to make me smile Like the world releasing a breath Held for too long When finally the sky breaks open And life rains down from above A release of emotion Tears held back for fear of appearing weak Flowing freely at last The sharp sweetness of the air Life-blood of the gods An offering, a sacrifice From the immortal to the mortal Life given to give life There is something about the first rain After days of heat and sun It is a raw power Electrifying and freeing And I am left aching for more
Here is what they don’t tell you:
Icarus laughed as he fell. Threw his head back and yelled into the winds, arms spread wide, teeth bared to the world.
(There is a bitter triumph in crashing when you should be soaring.)
The wax scorched his skin, ran blazing trails down his back, his thighs, his ankles, his feet. Feathers floated like prayers past his fingers, close enough to snatch back. Death breathed burning kisses against his shoulders, where the wings joined the harness. The sun painted everything in shades of gold.
(There is a certain beauty in setting the world on fire and watching from the centre of the flames.)

As he flicked through the letters, a small, handwritten envelope caught his attention and his heart began to thump
As he flicked through the letters, a small, handwritten envelope caught his attention and his heart began to thump. He'd been waiting for this letter for two weeks, ever since they told him they'd posted it. It had been nearly a month since he'd seen them, since they'd both gone to different universities. After a couple of weeks of missing each other, they had come up with this idea of writing each other handwritten letters. He carefully opened the envelope, breaking the wax seal his partner had used to seal it. He slid the letter gently out, as if it might disintegrate in his hands if he wasn't careful. Unfolding the paper, he began to read. As he read, he could almost hear his partner's melodic voice speaking their words aloud to him. He could feel the care radiating from their handwriting, the love and longing in their words. They had spoken regularly over the past month, they'd even spoken over the phone that very morning. But in this handwritten letter, for the first time, he could feel them as if they were in the room. He felt their gentle caress down his cheek, their soft lips on his. It was as though his heart was beating again, bringing colour and life back to him after a month of grey. His longing for them was sparked anew. He wanted to see them. To hold them. To kiss them. An idea began to form in his mind. He would write his response now, while these feelings were still fresh and overwhelming. And then, he was going to pack a bag, get in his car, and hand deliver his letter to them. He knew they had no plans tonight, because the two of them had been planning to stream a movie together. But now, after reading their letter, he wanted only to be able to do that in person again. He had a long journey ahead, but it would be worth it. If their handwritten words could spark this desire in him, he could not wait to see what new heights they could reach together in person once more.
“You have his eyes”
"You have his eyes." Sam said to the baby in zir arms. "Your father was beautiful, you know. I don't know what we're gonna do now, and I don't know how we're gonna get through this, but I do know that whatever happens from now on we'll face it together" The baby burbled up at him. "Yeah, I know. I miss them too" Sam said, as if replying to the burble. "I can't wait to tell you all about your dad, and how incredible they were. They were so strong, so funny, and so excited to meet you" The baby cooed softly as tears began to flow down Sam's face again. "Shit" Sam swore, trying in vain to wipe away the increasingly numerous tears with zir sleeve. "August, I can't believe you left me with our baby like this. You spent your whole life never ducking responsibilities and now that we've got this tiny human to look after you up and die. So rude. I can't even argue with you about what to name her anymore. I guess you won that one." Ze looked down at zir daughter again, tears streaming down zir face. She looked back, her soft brown eyes giving Sam the same look August used to give zir when ze got upset. A look so full of patience and love. "Hi" Sam said to zir daughter, through tears. "I think it's time." Sam stood up, and looked one last time around the room where ze had gained and lost so much. Ze carefully placed zir daughter into the baby carrier, and swung zir bag onto zir back. As Sam carried the baby out of the hospital, she looked up at her parent with an almost quizzical look on her tiny face. "Let's go home, Esme"
Street Magic
"I don't get it. You've got all this power, and you waste it performing base tricks for passers-by on the street"
I rolled my eyes at my old friend.
"For one thing, as you well know, if I advertised how powerful I was I'd never be left alone" I replied. "And as for the second point, performing on the street like this has many advantages. I know more about the goings-on of this kingdom than I would if I served at the right hand of the Queen, I have more freedom to act than I would under the authority and supervision of the Crown, and I can be exactly as visible or invisible as I like without needing to focus on an invisibility spell"
"But you could be helping people" he said with a sigh.
"I am helping people" I shot back, "I'm just not helping the sort of people you think I should be helping"
"You mean, the sort who can actually pay"
"The people I help pay me, in currency more useful than coin" I said, and continued before he could interrupt me. "And when I do actually need coin, I use what people give for my street performances. But please, tell me again how this is all beneath me"
"It is!" he shouted, clearly getting exasperated, before lowering his voice again. "You know it is"
"Unlike you, old friend, I have no misconceptions that mages are any better than anyone else. I've told you before, I'm not interested in helping some rich lord maneuver the complex political landscape of the kingdom. The magic I have is mine to use, and I will continue to use it to help those who really need it." I was also getting exasperated, we had had this conversation so many times over our many years of friendship and we both knew it never changed anything.
"Fine." He said, flatly. "I'm going back to help my rich lord do some maneuvering"
"Enjoy!" I called after him, my voice dripping with sarcasm, as his astral form retreated back into the ether.
I returned my own astral form to my body, and redoubled my focus on the small illusionary fireworks I had been casting to entertain a group of small children. I didn't really need to concentrate on the fireworks, which was good as it allowed me to keep watching the guards stationed outside the nearby inn. They had turned up out of nowhere a couple of days ago, and one of my contacts on this street had told me that nobody had come or gone from the inn since. Something was going on, something bad, and it was down to me to stop it. Me - the little old woman performing simple tricks for children on the street, who was, unbeknownst to most people, the most powerful mage in any kingdom. This was going to be fun.
