Amber: i just spent my very precious fifteen minute break performing an impromptu, very passionate cover of lavender haze and i got ONE whole clap for it. i know there was only, like, five people watching at the time and three of them were drunk out of their minds and nearly passed out, but come on! is a little appreciation too much to ask for?

Frannie: I'm...Sorry? For what it's worth, I'm sure your performance was amazing. Have you considered doing something like an open mic night? That might bring you closer to the recognition you're looking for.

I absolutely love my daughter - I do - but it is equally terrifying that I have apparently raised a mini-me. That little girl has a strategic mind that would make Athena herself proud. I hid her birthday presents as best - and as high - as I could and have it still be safe, and this little girl created a damn obstacle course just to get to them. I’m seriously considering banning her from watching any more American Ninja Warrior. That’s where she’s getting her ideas from, I swear.

Oh my gosh, you can say that again! My Parker is just about to turn 4 and every day feels like a marathon with these same kinds of things. Really, though, it’s a positive. At least, that’s what I’m telling myself. Happy, healthy, and safe. That’s what’s important, right?

Okay, please tell me that someone has watched The Circle, because I need to talk about it! First of all, I’m so mad about how they split this season’s episodes – really that show doesn’t need to be split in the first place but then to make us wait an entire week between the next set of episodes and the finale? It’s torture! If you haven’t seen that show, I definitely recommend you watch it and then immediately report back to me so we can discuss.

Oh gosh, I’m so glad you said something. That show is kind of like my guilty pleasure, but I’m dying to gush! I agree, the format they chose for this season is weird, and frustrating. I mean, I’m sure they did it to build anticipation, and keep people coming back. Smart? Yes. But, that still doesn’t mean we have to like it! How have you been Mercedes? It seems like we haven’t seen each other in forever.

First of all, Happy New Year! Late, I know, but I don’t think I’ve told practically anybody that except for my family since I kind of just went into hibernation for, like, a week after the holidays were finally over. Second of all, since it is a new year, I’d be remiss to not encourage all of you to come on over to Wags 2 Riches if your resolution this year just so happens to be adopting a new furry (or not, maybe you’re a fan of the more scaly variety) companion. And even if it’s not, come by anyway! Alright, my shameless self-promotion is now over. Is everyone adjusting well back to normal non-holiday life now?

Happy New Year to you too, Owen! I hope it’s going well for you so far! Honestly, if you don’t go into hibernation after the holidays, I’m not sure you did it right! In all honesty I’m loving the self-promotion, shameless or not. Really, it’s not even self-promotion, it’s adoption promotion! So, that changes things enough, right? I may stop in a little later in the week. I’ve been considering adopting, I think now could be the perfect time.
