So I was thinking about my Stone General AU more recently, and I’ve had this idea that his clones—instead of having new, unique personalities like MK’s—we’re all past versions of himself. I also, in this process fleshed out his past a little. I wanted Wukong to learn all of his powers in the Celestial Realm instead of with Subodhi because of his training to become a general. Because of this, he doesn’t get his powers for a while.

Possible name for your AU! How about Stoneburn AU? I got inspired by the title of the music Hey Little Songbird, except replace Song with Stone and Bird with Burn. And you get Stoneburn. Representing Wukong and Macaque both since Stone is obviously in reference to Wukong and burn is in reference to Macaque and what happened to him in your AU.

I’ve been thinking of calling this the Stone General AU :)

MORE ART UNDER THE CUT!!

The idea was based this song from Hadestown (my favorite musical)

Basically, I was wondering about SWKs past and how changing could affect the entire story. The idea is that Wukong was molded into a Celestial General after the brotherhood was defeated. So he never went on the jttw, getting his discipline from the rigorous training and work from the Celestial Court. Instead of Macaque dying by Wukong’s hands, he’s killed when Erlang Shen burned Flower Fruit Mountain as punishment for not complying with them.

When Wukong finds out that Macaque is alive, he would try to save him from LBD, offering him sanctuary in heaven. This, of course, means leaving everyone behind and possibly allowing the mortal plane to be destroyed.

What makes you like the show Monkie Kid so much?

I just love the characterization and the plot honestly. I'm also here for my favorite man (COUGH COUGH SUN WUKONG)

I love that every time you watch it again you see or notice something new and that even though it's super fast-paced, there's clear emotions and an amazing plot in every episode.

Another big thing that's kept me hooked is the fact that lmk is just a small facet of what the fandom can be. These jttw, Netflix movies, books, comics, other tv shows, and all of that leads people outwards from the lego show. Once you really explore the mythology (if that's the correct word?) you can get a deeper understanding of the characters and their stories and once you get that far there are so many different ways to interpret and portray each character and their story.

Of course, you don't need to watch a million movies and read the books to be in the fandom(s?). That's part of the fun. You can only watch lmk and still have valid opinions and portrayals of the characters. You can only be interested in the Legos and still be a part of things.

All in all those are my reasons for liking the show (don't tell anyone but it's mostly for my man Sun Wukong)

The reason that he's calling Lillian and Lars children is because comparatively, they are kids to him assuming that Lillian and Lars are both around Ne Zha or younger age wise (Mang Tian is around as old as Swk to put that into perspective)

Also a headcanon that if Mang Tian ever finds out about Lars's past, he'd sympathize with it because of how it's similar to both his and swk's pasts. We know about swk; he innitially wanted to protect his loved ones, but then lost sight of why he wanted the power in the first place and got sealed away yada yada... Mang Tian was cast out of the Celestial Realm and permanently blinded for illegally gaining all-sight (the ability to see everything at once) to help against the wars in heaven. Of course, Lars and Mang Tian had totally different reasons for trying to gain power (and lose it), but I still feel like Mang Tian would try to make a sort of connection with Lars if he could. I don't know if he'd accept it or not I'm just spitballing :b

Anyhow I really like your character, starmoon, he's lowk a cutie pie and I NEED to see him have a found family bond with SOMEONE PLEASE (like maybe uh Mang Tain *nudge nudge* ey? Ey?/j) also his eyes are fabulous I might make fanart of your boy < 3

USERNAME CHANGE!!

Guys just a heads up I’ve changed my username from @gh0styai to @bearglue because of the absolute awful uprise in ai art and I don’t want to be mistaken for an outlaw of these lands since all of my artwork is made by ME and not some crappy, plagiarist artificial intelligence. I wanted to change it because of the “ai” in my name. I originally chose it for the sound it makes; “ei”, but I realize not everyone reads it as such.

I chose bearglue because of my alt @electricbearglue , a spin-off of electricboogaloo. (Bear is my name btw that’s why it’s like that)
