has anyone else noticed that the cod team seems to render price really inconsistently compared to the rest of the 141? it feels like they don’t really know what he looks like because he looks different in each game (and you could argue that it’s just the graphics getting better but at the same time it doesn’t really seem like that. at least to me. i’ll give examples under the cut.

(from the first game) here he basically has no eyelashes ? and lots of grey in his beard. also his eyebrows are practically nonexistent as well

(mw2) but here he very clearly has eyelashes (also his eyes are much brighter blue and he has less grey hairs) and his brows are very prominent

also he has so many more grey hairs in his beard in the first game ?? compared to the other two? when he’s supposed to be younger? does he dye his beard?

(mw2 ^^) i feel like i’m going crazy but his face shape seems to change like a little bit? here he looks more square/stouter (granted it could be the beanie and slightly different cut of his beard making him look that way) but his cheeks seem a little fuller too? (mw)

and again with my point about his greys. he’s got so many in this scene

yet in the second game he’s not got really any. what.

i can’t think of any other inconsistencies (although i feel like there are) but if i remember some ill rb with more

Nah, I'm totally with you on this 😭😭 it's the first thing I noticed between all 3 games.

This one also got me in MW3! After the gas attack. But then you have when he kills Shepard.

Like, I understand the shadows and the lights are going to create a different illusion of the face. But to me, it just seems Activision is too goddamn stupid to realize the way they made him look like in the first game, compared to the last two.🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I've also noticed the inconsistencies with Soap! But that's a whole other can of worms.

yes! those are both such good examples. i was gonna include the scene where he nukes shepherd because holy shit who is that. but i couldn’t find a good scene that would be equal in lighting.

his face looks so much skinnier in the third pic, i’m curious to know how much time took place between the beginning of the game and him killing shepherd because it’s possible that he lost weight due to . the circumstances and such. but still.

and yeah soap and his eyebrow inconsistencies are. hmmm something else.

i think that price would try to break up with pav before he kills shepherd and pav would put a stop to that immediately. he would say something along the lines of you’re the only person who has ever made me feel loved and i am not going to let you leave me again . and price, very selfishly, allows pavel to get tangled up in whatever business he has going. pavel maybe doesn’t have the straightest moral compass— john is his everything and therefore what john does is what’s right. and so he’ll do whatever john tells him. and pavel is a fucking unit. so he learns and adapts and becomes price’s right hand man in whatever situation they’re in.
