My portraits have more of an illustrative feel rather than the traditional realism. They are done with a mixture of oil and acrylics with black Indian ink for outline and detail (see example above). Any species, any breed.

Update post No. 1:

I forgot to show you all my finished set of tattoos! Sun bear on the right is a male bear called Somnang from Edinburgh zoo. I’m a fan. The polar bear on the left is Victor from Yorkshire Wildlife Park. I worked as a carnivore keeper there for 6 months over the summer season last year and he was my absolute favourite. (See: profile picture aha)

I painted one of this french fella’s puppy photos a little while back. He’s all grown up now, but it’s nice to compare!

Another angle of Poh the babirusa. I like adding white acrylic paint to other colours (acrylic but also oil) to make pale, creamy images. This really helps the ink outline and detail to make an impact.
