THANK YOU. I am so sick and tired of people not seeing how downright unhealthy Jate was. Like, yes, Sawyer & Kate sucked at communication. They both self-sabotage. They didn't know exactly what they wanted when they had each other. But, they could get through that. Jate couldn't.

LITERALLY I could write a 10,000 word essay on this but like I don’t get how people don’t see how jate was so messed up????? even if they did love each other, jack was such a dick to kate????? he was always so possessive and condescending and it was obvious he thought he was her saviour when all kate needed was someone who accepted her for who she is (bc who she is is fantastic! strong! courageous! skillful! loving!) aka sawyer

there are so many jate moments that enrage me, like that time jack literally forbade kate from going on the trek (to find michael I think? lmao it’s been so long since I’ve watched) but sawyer would’ve let her and tried to convince jack to let her come and then tried to make kate feel better afterwards when she kinda ruined their plan by getting captured by the others, or the whole jate relationship off island when jack was so possessive and had the nerve to tell kate he’s the one who saved her, like she owes him or something, or all those times jack brought up her criminal past like ‘im not a murderer’ or when he was like ‘tell me what you did!’, demanding to know what the plane was about, and just in general acting like a prick to kate

anyway this was a mess of a response but sawyer was a million times better for kate and skate made one another better while accepting each other for who they were and they shouldve been endgame and it’s been 8 years and I’m still mad

This is a part of genocide.  Removing the children from their parents, who generally desperately love and want to raise them, and placing them with white American families is a way to erase their culture from existence without the ugliness of directly killing children.  But it’s still ugly, and it cares nothing for the actual welfare of the child.

our pal Seymour posted several tweets in the last couple of months, most of which have since been deleted, that remind me of the bears. the main one being a countdown to the release of “Adore You”, before it was even announced.
