A little thought about gender dysphoria

Today I was putting icy hot on my back and it made me think about something

When I put the icy hot on the part that hurt a few seconds later I realized that another part hurt too and then I had to put icy hot on that. After a bit of that the whole right side had icy hot on it

It made me think that this is kind of how dysphoria is. Once you do one thing, like binding, you start to realize how many other things give you pain too. Also, much like dysphoria, I could totally just live dealing with this pain like my ancestors did, but I don’t have to. Once the icy hot wears off I’ll notice right away because I wont be relieved of my pain anymore, and so I’ll keep going back to it until I find a more long term solution to my pain
