Hey guys! Really long time, and no see! I’ve been working on other blogs, and I admit it was shitty of me to never check back in over here. However, I thought some of you might want to know that I’m reviving Gar! I will be creating a new main blog with a new URL, which I will post on here once I’m done. I understand if you all choose not to follow me there, but for those of you who want to continue or start new interactions, that’s the plan!

Temporary Hiatus
Sorry guys, but I’ve been lacking muse for both my blogs for a long time. I’ve recently started a new blog and I’ve been enjoying it so much, and it makes me feel happy with RP where this blog and Gar’s just haven’t lately. Maybe I’ve been too overwhelmed lately, I don’t know. Just don’t expect a lot of replies here or on Gar for a while. If you want to find me and talk, or RP with my new muses, just message me.
“Human you is being, dare I say, cute at the moment.” She laughed lowly, her fingers reaching to scratch behind his ears. The half-demoness was visibly relaxed tonight, her demeanor with the changeling showed it. “If you tell anyone I’m nice to you in private I will not hesitate to send you to another dimension.” She teased.
Gar gasped dramatically, eyes opening so he could flash her a grin, a long strand of hair falling into his eyes. “Me?! Cute?! Blasphemy!” He exclaimed before chuckling and closing his eyes again. “Don’t worry, don’t worry. Your secret is safe with me- abuse me in public all you wish.” He replied casually.

“In Nevermore?” Gar asked with a frown. “Like… what? What could be wrong?”
“I don’t know.” Raven responded slowly, feeling the stress of her emotions running amuck. “There’s just something going on, they’re unsettled.”
“Okaaay... So, what, do we need to a book a flight over there or something? Because either way, I’m goin’ with you.”

“Precautions? Nah, not me babe. That’s not my style. Besides, I’m not sure they’d work even if I took them anyway. That’s also not my luck.”
The blonde girl chuckled and crossed her arms on her chest while raising a single eyebrow, she looked at him with her bright blue eyes.“ Ya seem really confident ‘bout that. But I really think ya should. Knowing ya it could turn bad.” Harley said poking his right cheek playfully.
Gar blinked a few times, startled by her poking his cheek, before flashing her a grin. “Confident is my middle name, blondie. But hey, if it turns bad, no one’s fault by my own right? I’m not sure I understand why you’re so concerned anyway. Who are you?”

“Oh yeah? You and anyone else in this city who’s ever picked up a newspaper. How was the press this time- good or passive aggressively snide?”
“Jeez, you are like, the king of being vague. I thought my old team leader Robin was bad, but I think you’re givin’ him a run for his money.” Gar said with a shake of his head. It had drove him crazy when Robin acted this way, and it was having a similar effect on him with Zacharie.
“I mean, no, but I didn’t exactly get the superhero vibe from you man. My bad.” Gar said with a sheepish smile, though he didn’t honestly feel too bad. This guy was kind of shady for a superhero. He blinked a few times, surprised by the man’s answer, before responding with a faint smile. “I guess that’s why most people wear masks, right?” And not just literal ones.
Hunting for Sweets
Alaire’s head may have been swimming, but Gar felt perfectly at ease. It took a lot to make the changeling feel nervous. As far as he was concerned, he was just going to spend the day eating chocolate and watching Netflix with a guy he was really starting to like. He had never had a valentine before either, but he didn’t feel all that nervous about having Alaire as his first one. It had worked out simply, and he felt very comfortable around Alaire, even if it was clear that Alaire often got nervous around him. Gar kind of hoped that would change someday, but at the same time, he would never want Alaire to change.
Gar blinked a few times, startled as Alaire suddenly spoke up. He looked at the other male over his shoulder and offered him a casual grin. “Hey man, no worries. I don’t mind some comfortable silence, contrary to how much I talk.” Gar teased, before inclining his head to the building they were approaching. “This is it.” He clarified as he led the way inside and onto the elevator, heading to the 16th floor.
It’s no surprise that Alaire is nervous. He’s still getting used to communicating with people when it came to work. Working on his comic meant interacting with a manager and a few other people face to face. Nothing like back when he simply took commissions or just sold artwork he’d already finished. That allowed him to not have to interact with others too much face to face, but this? It’s something entirely new to him. It’s understandable for someone to be nervous about interaction when they weren’t quite used to it and were also as old as he is.
“O-Oh. Okay.” Good. That was good to know. He always felt like when you were around others, it was required to always have something to say. To know that that isn’t exactly the case? It’s definitely nice. As well as relieving. So, feeling a bit better now, he smiles a bit and follows Gar into the building as well as into the elevator.
Gar waited quietly as the elevator went up to his floor, swinging their hands between them and humming a tune absentmindedly. The building was rather old, and the elevator sounded kind of creaky, but Gar still felt extremely comfortable here. You wouldn’t think the guy who lived off of hot pockets, loved video games, and constantly read comic books would like living somewhere old-fashioned, but somehow, he felt like his little, rinky-dink apartment was fitting for him somehow. He stepped off the elevator once it reached his floor and led the way down to the apartment.
“It shouldn’t be too messy. I cleaned up like, a day or two ago.” He informed Alaire as he pushed the front door open. His apartment opened right into his connected living room and kitchen. The apartment was painted with green and orange colors, and was nice and warm inside, smelling of fruit. “Home sweet home.”
Something about how Gar was swinging their hands between them the way he was was.. kind of cute. And felt really nice for some reason. Maybe because someone was being cute with him? He isn’t sure. Then again, it doesn’t matter why.
“It’d be okay of it wasn’t.” Despite how clean his own apartment was, Alaire wasn’t actually a neat freak. Sure, when it came to his own place he wanted it to look nice, but it’s not a requirement for others. Mess is fine so long as it’s just clutter and not filth. Filth Alaire could not handle. “It’s nice.” Alaire ends up adding, especially liking the smell of fruit his sensitive nose picked up.
“Tell that to my friend Raven. Whenever she comes over she fusses even if I just have like, a sweatshirt hanging over a chair.” Gar said with a roll of his eyes before smiling. “Thanks though. I’m glad you like it.” He said, slipping off his jacket and shoes.
“You can go make yourself comfortable on the couch and turn on the TV. I’m gonna go grab some drinks.” He said, passing Alaire the bag of chocolates and heading into his kitchen. “I’m gonna have chocolate milk! Anything in particular you want? I got water, milk, chocolate milk, and orange juice!” He called over his shoulder, grabbing two glasses and pulling open the fridge.

“Kind of rich? Dude, you gotta be like, Richie Rich rich to afford all of this stuff! Jeez!” Gar exclaimed, grinning widely as he looked everything over. He was almost afraid to touch anything- it all looked more expensive that his entire apartment put together. “Man, you’re a lot better off than I am then. All the cash I get usually goes to my rent and bills and everything. And what’s left I spend on junk food. I really shouldn’t be allowed to live alone.” He said with a goofy smile.
“Because you have like, every gaming system know to man!” He exclaimed, eyes bright.
Oh. Was his admitting that rude then? If Gar apparently has so little money. It didn’t come off as flaunting, did it? Hopefully not. “O-Oh well - I’ve just.. Had a lot of time to save money, you know?” An extreme amount of time.
Alaire makes a mental note of Gar’s lack of funds. He would have to help him out somehow even if that means just taking him out to eat sometimes. Oh no. That would come off as doing things out of pity, wouldn’t it? Gah. How frustrating. Maybe he could think of some other way to help out without it coming off as hand outs. “Well, you’re always welcome to come over and use them - even if I’m busy.” As Alaire has plenty of single player games. Including old as well as new releases.
“Yeah, I get it man. No worries!” Gar said cheerfully, shoving his hands in his pockets. Money really wasn’t an important thing to him, despite what the world said.
“Seriously?” Gar asked excitedly, his eyes lighting up. He bounced on the heels of his feet out of pure excitement. “Dude! That would be like, the coolest thing ever. Thanks!” He said happily, before arching a teasing brow at Alaire. “You wanna play something? Though I’m warning you, I was the best player in my old team. Cy always tried to fight me on that, but I know I won more than he did.” Okay, that may have been an exaggeration, but he didn’t need to admit that to Alaire now did he?
