Trump posted this. This is his way of admitting he is a loser with no class
Photographer Devin Mitchell’s Veteran Art Project aims to show us the real men and women behind the uniforms of the military, who are oftentimes fighting for freedoms which they are not fully granted themselves.
Yo this need hella notes because tumblr has this stereotype of what type of people join the military.
Military parties are way more diverse (in the literal sense, not the romantic one) than a lot of non-military parties I’ve been to. *shrug*
It’s never too late to learn the right way to do things: button sewing technique via imgur → more…
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE
I feel like I just reblog this every time it is on my dash, with hope that one day I will stop being such a goof about sewing buttons.
You mean someone don’t do it like this?
Yeah I was taught to just sew them flush against the fabric. It didn’t work as well as I thought it should…
YES. YES GOOD. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
It’s going to take me weeks to re-set my normal after looking at this.
this honestly just came out of left fucking field i would have never expected to hear anything like this in this show. consider me Pleasantly Surprised tbh
This was the autism episode

#[chanting] prequel prequel preQUEL PREQUEL PREQUEL
So Capt Jack got his ‘Pirate’ brand for liberating slaves. Yes I want this story told.
This is why his soul is worth 100 souls. Because he saved 100 slaves. The Black Pearl has its name for a reason. It’s a slave running ship.
Actually, that’s not quite correct. The reason the Black Pearl has it’s name is because it burnt down. The original name of the ship carrying slaves was called the Wicked Wench. Jack Sparrow captained this ship during the time he worked with the East India Trading Co. After refusing to haul slaves, he was arrested and personally branded with a P by Lord Cutler Beckett. Then, as punishment, was chained to his own ship while it was lit aflame and left to die. However, as he was dying, he made a pact with Davy Jones to bring both himself and his ship back for thirteen years in exchange for 100 souls. In doing this, Davy Jones made it the fastest and most dangerous ship in existence (besides the Dutchman, of course). So the reason the Pearl is black is not because it carried slaves, but because Jack Sparrow gave his life to save them.

So don’t use “It’s just a book” as an excuse for what it really is: the normalization and romanticizing of domestic abuse.
#DidYouKnow #Deaf #DeafAwareness #education #SignLanguage #advocacy #NMSCares
This is actually sadly relevant. I had a lecture this summer about sign languages and Deaf culture and when I was finished, one hearing girl from the audience stayed behind to ask me some more question.
She asked me: “And your parents use sign language, right?” Like it was the most obvious thing in the world and why is she even asking this, of course my parents must know sign language.
"No… They don’t, actually."
"And how do you communicate, then?"
"Talking?"
"But… isn’t that complicated for you?"
"It is, sometimes."
"They probably didn’t have time for it…" she said. And I haven’t the heart to tell her that my father was offered sign language courses several times, that I offered to teach them some signs and that they always refused.
But I did told her: “It is not that rare. Most of deaf people I know have hearing parents who don’t sign.”
It’s the sad truth. People are willing to pay for surgeries to “repair” their children, but they are not willing to learn something to communicate with them.
i’d like to add onto this with my own personal experience, too. i was born hearing, but as soon as i was diagnosed as HoH, my parents didn’t do anything to learn ASL. they were quick to put me in classes, but they wouldn’t when i suggested to them that they take the classes with me so that we could learn.
i’ve tried to teach my mom how to sign numerous times, but she always says that “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks,” to which i tell her that she can learn, she just doesn’t want to. which is true. neither of my parents want to learn how to sign, but they want me to be able to hear perfectly so they don’t have to repeat themselves.
little do they know that their frustration with me not being able to hear them would be solved if they would just learn how to sign. maybe signing something to me once instead of repeating themselves four times and then getting mad would be more beneficial.
I’m absolutely shocked at this, it’s never crossed my mind that many parents wouldn’t even try to meet their hard of hearing kids halfway.
What the fuck… How do you not put in the effort to learn how to communicate with your child??? people are WILD. Also awful.
This makes me so happy I took classes in ASL
I’m still learning ASL. I wish everyone could be able to sign like second nature tbh
I learned this sometime during my four years of sign language in high school. It broke my heart. Every parent needs to do what they can to communicate to their child.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what you get when you stand up to a man who beats his young girlfriend in public. Not the black eye, not the broken nose, but the sense of being a fucking great human being.
Earlier today while I was waiting for the bus I witnessed a man walk up to his girlfriend, who couldn’t have been older than 18, kick her handbag, spit on her and scream in her face that she was a cunt. He walked back into the bus shelter after telling her she was worthless and pathetic and kicking her in the gut then as she tried to follow he turned around to grab her. I got in between them and told him that he should never EVER spit on a woman, hit her or talk to her in that way. He laughed in my face and said he would “fuck me up”. I looked him square in the eye and told him that I was not afraid of him. He proceeded to scream obscenities at her as I took her away from him, then he shouted to me that he could walk round the corner to get people to kill me. Feeling defiant, I said “go on, I dare you, there’re plenty of people around to witness it.” The prick then walked right up to me and head butted me in the nose. I am now sporting a swollen face and the beginnings of a black eye but the police took swabs from my nose to get his DNA and they know exactly who he is. Cunt’s going down for assault. Motherfuckers don’t treat women like that and get away with it. I feel heroic.
That’s right bitches. Women deserve respect.
holy shit you fucking excellent human we need more people like you
you are my favourite type of human
I have so much respect for you
Seriously, my heroine. Way to go girl! <3
