âThis little cutie loves to play with my hair. Donât you, Sabrina? Ha, isnât she precious? Itâs hard to believe anyone would want to put this little princess in an orphanage. Such a bitter shame. I wish I could adopt her.âÂ
âI donât think itâs possible to resist that smile, so Iâll have to agree. Itâs insane, really, but maybe their intentions were good. We can only hope. Well, at least you get to see her often, I suppose?â
evanderwoodsen:
âFine, no game of chess, I was only suggesting. If you think this summer has been so dreadfully boring, than what do you suggest?â
âIf I play one more game of chess, Iâll lose my mind. We could go out, for example?â
alexiabransn:
âWell, Iâm always up for some fun, so.. Show me what you got, sister,â Lexi said with an infectious smile..
âThank God,â Beatrice laughed, sighing dramatically. âFirst off, I need something to drink.â
okburke:
âI think Coney Island sounds like a lot of fun. I donât know, Iâve had a pretty great summer. And school starts in just over a month anyway, so I donât want to get too carried away in planning something major. Iâm guessing a trip to Monaco doesnât sound very exotic to you either?â
âMm, I canât really disagree with that. Please, do share your secrets because the quiet is driving me insane, itâs like Iâm not even in Manhattan. Trust me, Iâve suggested that countless times, Louis just doesnât seem inclined to follow my idea.â
stefnslvatore:
âWell, forgive me for being in rehab for half of summer.â
âI would, if I wasnât dying of boredom. Right now Iâm much more inclined to annoy you until you accept my suggestion. Come on, Stefan. You canât tell me youâre not needing some excitement.â
brokenwxrrior:
âThatâs an awfully confident thing to say, Beatrice.â
âItâs true all the same, isnât it?â
âOne would think that, because weâre closer to 2030 than to 2000, some pick-up lines would be considered outdated by now, but I guess that isnât stopping anybody.â
âThank God, I donât need one to make you like me.â
â---Or, if you think it through carefully, we could do something fun instead. Come on, this summer has been dreadfully boring so far.â
âEveryone seems to be going to the gym these days, seriously.â
âIs that such a bad thing?â
âYouâre lacking better things to do?â Eric said with a laugh. âIf you want, I can come up with a list of at least thirty better things to do, but alright,â he said with a shrug. âOh, no thank you, exhausting myself under this hot sun isnât exactly something on my bucket list.â
Beatrice rolled her eyes, pressing her lips together to fight the laugh that threatened to fall from her lips. âI am, yes.â She nodded pompously, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. âAs a good friend, you should just tag along. ---Come on, come on. Are you letting me do it alone?â
ââsounds good to me. Iâll need strands of your hair, though. Voodoo dolls need the one you want to harmâs DNA to be completed. Reason I chose you: extreme unkindness and prejudice against easy cheese.â
â... I think you need a nap, Elena. We might continue your work and be weird after you sleep for the next week. ---Creep.â
âProbably,â he smirked, allowing his eyes to run over her once, before bringing his gaze back to his features. âWell, have I ever told you Iâm a wonderful listener? I give good advice too, if warranted. Otherwise, Iâm just a really good ear.â Grinning uncontrollably, he stepped forward almost instantly, practically answering her question without actually saying so. âIâm attractive, too. Youâre more than welcome to just look at me, if that distracts you any.â
âShut up,â she fought a smile, averting her gaze from Drewâs in the moments that followed. His suggestion didnât seem terrible, for some particular reason she couldnât describe. Could she be starting to trust him? âListener? Considering how much you talk, thatâs a big surprise.â Beatrice joked, leading the way to the cafe. âMy family has been dealing with some complicated... things. Iâm just worried, I suppose. ---Oh there it is, I almost missed the gloating.â Turning around, she walked backwards, looking at Drew with a smile. âI think Iâll skip that last part.â
âIndeed. You can begin by telling me why you so rudely disrupted my evening. Go onâ Iâve not got all day.â
âYouâve been distracted, Klaus, while Chuck has never been more focus on whatever matters he has at hands.â
