A majority of the photos he takes ends up having you as the subject in them, the nature you both came for captured in the background.

A/n: I know I've been gone for a ridiculously long time. And honestly, I hadn't been playing genshin through the break. But now I'm back on my ring and decided to start with al haitham. I have a few characters I want to write on but this is my thank-you gift to all those I left waiting. Also note that pc tumble is misbehaving.

The ride to Snezhnaya was long and tormenting. Sumeru's warmth was long gone as you were now assaulted by the heat of Natlan. Dottore clones talked continuously but your mind was occupied. You didn't hear the plan he had in mind, all your thoughts were on the man you left in Sumeru. Though leaving was a strong overstatement. Leaving is used when the person being referred to cares. The 'he' in question most likely didn't remember your existence.
You loved him but He was cold, too cold for you. Yet you wouldn't give up! You didn't know when to quit. Your puny Sakura references and flower quizzes couldn't keep him. Even if you told yourself you deserved better! Even if you told yourself repeatedly that he wasn't treating you the best! You still stayed! even though he didn't beg you, even though he made no attempts to see you or hang out with you, you still stayed. Holding on to the false hope, the false pretence that he wouldn't have accepted your confession if he didn't love you. You were foolish! And you underestimated him! How far he would go to achieve his plan. You were nothing but a stepping stone to his victory and that hurt even more.
Your father had major ties to the academia and you were an easy way to get dirt on the organization. You were a fool, you knew it and he certainly did as well. You fell for the academia's scribe and became his doormat. It didn't matter to you because he loved you, right? Right? Even if you both had your differences, love would bloom through, it had bloomed through! Love led you down this path and now you weren't so sure whether you could go back to being normal.
It was his love for you that brought this strange woman to your doorstep, that made her confess that she'd been sleeping with Alhaitham for the entirety of your relationship with him and even before it. It was his love for you that made him cheat on you with this woman who seemingly had no shame and spoke as if you were the one who was out of place. It was his love for you that made her tell you not to contact him anymore. That made her call you stupid for believing that the whole thing was real. All the long walks and whispers were nothing, absolutely nothing in the eyes of Alhaitham.
You had slammed the door in her face, you wouldn't believe it, you couldn't believe it. She was just some groupie with the intent of spoiling your relationship. She didn't lie. Not a single word she uttered had falseness in them. She was true to the bone, which attracted Alhaitham to her. He didn't like your sugarcoating or over-filtering, he wanted something raw, someone like Linda was just that. Everything he wanted. Everything he wanted was not you. No matter how many times you complain or lie to yourself it wouldn't be.
He didn't reach out to you either, he had told Linda to go instead. That was your breakup. A 3rd party jab at your existence and intelligence.
You couldn't cry, not when the betrayal was this deep. Your father had been imprisoned by the archon and the next day, your ex was parading around Sumeru with his real lover and was the acting head of the academia. You hated him, you hated how your life had crashed down to nothing in two days. You hated how he had done it all under your nose and made you out to be a fool. You hated how he sent his heartless girlfriend to break up with you in his stead.
This is why you joined forces with the fatui, and had a newly acquired pyro vision resting at your hip. You had gotten it not long after you had chosen the path of revenge. The gods also seemed enraged by your fate and gave you a sign of their blessing. You didn't mind bringing down the academia and the entirety of the Sumeru nation with it. They didn't care about you, they deserted you as soon as your father was imprisoned, and your 'friends went on with it all. You were nothing to them, to anyone! But you would be soon, you didn't care how many deals you had to make for all of them to have a slow and painful death.
"Try to relax, I can sense your desire for revenge burning over here", Dottore's clone yawned. I had been still for hours. But the disgusted look on my face had never left. I was weak, too weak and now they will pay dearly. Once I officially join the fatui, My revenge journey would begin and he would regret ruining me, he would regret all the secrets he never told me and he would most certainly regret being alive.
And since Linda and Alhaitham love each other so much, I'll make them both burn in hell together, in a warm but deadly embrace.
