Why don't the succubi and incubi look like Asmodeus?

Something that has been bothering me and got me thinking is the appaerance of the succubi and incubi and how they do not look ANYTHING like Asmodeus.

In Helluva Boss, it's established that succubi and incubi are from the Lust Ring. Asmodeus, being the embodiment of Lust, rules over the Lust Ring and his people are the succubi and incubi. He has succubi and incubi work for him. Whether it be at his factory, club or just generally going to the human world to spread lust.

In Mastermind, Satan said this:

"...Fine. I suppose I created imp-kind to be obedient, I see no reason to punish the dutiful. Just axe the mouthy one."―Satan, sparing the rest of Blitzo's crew

And we also know that Lucifer created the Ars Goetia, for what purposes it's not clear yet as far as I'm aware. But this could mean that all of the hellborn that we saw, excluding sinners obviously, were created by the Sins themselves. Which seems pretty obvious when you compare their designs. The hellhounds look like/ are almost the same species as Beelzebub who is a furry, the imps look a lot like Satan, the demons from the Envy Ring are fish like representing Leviathan, the baphomets and other demons from the Sloth Ring look like Belphegor. But also for some reason the loan sharks do not look like Mammon. Why this is I have no idea. That one I haven't thought of any theories or what could be the reason behind this. But ignorimg Mammon entirely, Asmodeus and his succubi are the only ones who do not look like each other. At all.

Let's compare Asmodeus's design to Verosika's.

As you can see these two don't share any resemblence to each other. Asmodeus is a rooster with navy blue skin/fur/feathers, while Verosika has no feathers or fur and her skin is pink. Their tails aren't the same, Asmodeus lacks wings, their legs aren't curved the same, Verosika has horns and pupils while Asmodeus doesn't and has feathered antennas, and just in general, Asmodeus is more bird like while Verosika is more human like with almost small bat features imo. In shorter words, the succubi and incubi do not represent their king at all. Why is that? Why don't they look like each other? Why don't they share at least a few features? Why do the other hellborn look like their respective rulers (except Mammon lol), but not Asmodeus and his people?

Well, I have a couple of theories on why this might be. But most of them do lead to one possible conclusion:

Asmodeus DID NOT create the succubi and incubi.

So what are my theories? Some of these theories of mine could also point to Asmodeus's potential backstory in Helluva. Let's begin!

A) Lilith created the succubi

In mythology, after Lilith left the garden of Eden she was said to have fled to the Red Sea where she became the mother of demons. She is also refered to as Queen of the Damned. The demons in question are succubi and incubi. Also, Lilith is considered to be one of the 4 angels of prostitute, which is a group of demonic queens and succubi who are often associated with temptatiom, darkness and night. Lilith is regarded as the Angel of Lust.

And like I mentioned earlier, the succubi and incubi look very human like with horns, tail and wings. So when you consider the lore behind Lilith in mythology, it could be possible Lilith was the one to create the succubi. But then this leads to another question. If she is the creator of succubi, then why is Asmodeus the one in control? For that I can't come up with a clear answer. Maybe Asmodeus took control of the succubi and incubi after Lilith vanished, whether he got permission from her beforehand or he just did it out of his own free will.

Now this theory could be maybe disproven with the fact that Lilith seems to only really care about the sinners and not the succubi. Not once were the succubi mentioned in Hazbin at all. So maybe Lilith isn't the mother of succubi.

And well if that is the case, then who else could be the creator of the succubi? Well I think in order to do that, we need to take a look at demons who haven't been mentioned in either Helluva or Hazbin. Remember how I mentioned the 4 angels of prostitute? Well, besides Lilith, the other she-demons in this group are: Naamah, Eisheth Zenunim and Agrat Bat Mahlat.

But I share the following theories, I would like to bring something up. In demonology, Asmodeus is said to be one of the few demons to have two sets of parents. Although it's worth mentioning that depending on which source you are following, Asmodeus's parents are different in each one. And regarding the 4 angels of prostitute, only 3 of them have been said to potentially be Asmodeus's mother. I'ma quickly list them here as well as who his fathers are.

Lilith and Adam: After Cain killed Abel, Adam and Eve separated for 130 years. Lilith took the form of Eve and met with Adam and eventually mated with him which led to her birthing more demons. Right off the bat there is just no way Adam and Lilith are Asmodeus's parents in Hellaverse. We know damn well Lilith would kill herself before she had sex with Adam. Plus there is just way too many factors that disprove this idea, but I ain't getting into it.

Agrat Bat Mahlat and King David: Some legends say that Agrat visited David in his sleep which resulted in them mating. After that, this resulted in the birth of Asmodeus. It's also mentioned that two daughters came out of this mating, but we are mainly focusing on Asmodeus here.

Naamah and Shamdon: In Jewish Talmudic-midrashic lore, Naamah, another fellow succubus, seduced the angel Shamdon which resulted in the birth of Asmodeus.

With all of this said, we can get into the next theories.

B) Agrat Bat Mahlat or Namaah created the succubi and one of them is possibly the mother of Asmodeus

Agrat Bat Mahlat and Naamah are demons who appears in Jewish mythology. They are both described as and are considered two of the 4 angels of prositute.

In the Zohar, Agrat seduced King David and bore Asmodeus. Meanwhile in the Talmud, Naamah seduced an angel named Shamdon and bore Asmodeus. Both demons are described as the Queen of Lust, mothers of succubi and incubi, with both of them having seduced angels which led to their downfall. Now, it's not exactly known how they came to be. Some say they were also the potential wives of Adam or there is just no answer as to how they came to be.

Now this could lead to some people believing that this doesn't make sense. They haven't been mentioned and how there have been no hints of there having been rulers of Lust before Asmodeus. But I think in Hazbin and Helluva lore they could work. Now, obviously no way they could be Adam's wives. That makes no sense. However, what is stopping us from believing Lilith didn't try to create her own species? Like she wabted to create her own demon kind. Lilith is clearly all about empowerment and being a girlboss, so maybe, Lilith created Agrat, Naamah and Eisheth! Possibly to help Hell or something along those lines. I want to also mention that there is another Naamah mentioned in mythology, who is the descendant of Cain with some believing her to be the daughter of Enoch. In the book of Enoch it's talked about how the angels mated with the women and thus resulted in the Nephilims. What if Naamah was one of these women? Maybe Shamdon could be one of these angels. Somehow they both met and possibly fell in love and it led to them conceiving Asmodeus. And obviously because of these actions, the angels are sent to Hell and perhaps even the women too because they bore the nephilims. Now I can already hear some people saying how this would even be possible. Claiming that only Lucifer and Vaggi are the only fallen angels, but in episode 5 Deadbeat Dad we briefly see Charlie's contacts and we see Azazel!

Azazel was one of these angels that mated with the women! Meaning that there are possibly more fallen angels in the series! In other words, it's not that far fetched to assume Asmodeus was one of these nephilims. Perhaps he was even the first nephilim to be conceived! Which is why he's the Sin of Lust to begin with. He is the product of his parents's lust!

Now for Agrat, I'm having a harder time believing she could be his mother. Why? Because Asmodeus says he knew Mammon since the start of Hell. King David was born somewhere around BCE. It just doesn't align well. The nephilim situation could possibly allign a bit better.

Now there could be a possibility that both of them created the succubi in some way. How they did it idk. I doubt mating but meh.

Okay but what if Asmodeus has no parents whatsoever? Going back to the theory regarding Lilith, if Naamah, Agrat and Eisheth don't exist and Lilith is the true creator of the succubi, what now with Asmodeus? If none of these women are his mothers or the men mentioned are his fathers then- what's even his origin to begin with? If he isn't the creator of the succubi and incubi, then how did he even get to the point of ruling over them? I know a pretty common theory for the other Sin's origins is that they too are fallen angels like Lucifer. But I have another theory...

C) Lucifer created Asmodeus

As I've established in the begining of this post, Lucifer created the Ars Goetia. We've been introduced to a multitude of Goetic demons such as Stolas, Paimon, Octavia and etc. One thing you'll notice is that a lot of the Goetias we've seen are bird like.

We know for a fact that Lucifer designed them with Heaven in mind. While not disclosed he could have possibly created them as a way to remember Heaven and the angels. And we have seen that a few of the Angels that look like birds.

And what is Asmodeus hm? A rooster. A bird. He posses bird like features. He is also clearly affiliated with Stolas. A Goetia. And in the book of Solomon, one of the demons a.k.a the demons of the Ars Goetia he summoned is Asmodeus. Asmodeus is considered a Goetia in some of religious books. In other words,

Asmodeus is a former Goetia. Somehow, he possibly found a way to climb his way up the hierachy and found a way to become a Deadly Sin. Since he is the embodiment of lust, he clearly had to have contributed to the creation of said sin. Possibly because of his lustful desires towards Sarah and or Solomon's 700 wives. In the original story, Asmodeus banished Solomon and replaced him. As far as I'm aware, he slept with his wives (and his mom) before Solomon came back and I believe banished him. Again, not fully disclosed, but somehow Asmodeus found his way to become a Sin. I think that could also be the reason why Asmodeus is considered the weakest of the sins. Because he originally wasn't and most likely wasn't supposed to but he became one. Possibly after he became a Sin he then took control of the Succubi and Incubi.

And my last theory for all this...

Asmodeus just did not give a shit and just made the succubi and incubi however he saw as sexy.

This post admittedly kind of did go off topic but I'm gonna be honest, this post was also an excuse to ramble about the original mythology and share theories about one of my favorite characters.

The Sins themselves are characters that actually interest me a lot. Me personally, I see them as the most lore relevant, because a lot of things happened because of them. They are the rulers of Hell, they are the ones who created many of the demons and possibly the rings too. Overall, they are just really interesting.

I know there is a lot of talk about characters possibly getting spin offs and shows of their own. Vivziepop also said that the franchise could have it's own prequels and sequels. And in my opinion, I think it would be incredible and interesting if we got a prequel about how the Sins came to be. It be so cool to see and learn more about them. But that's just my opinion.

This was just me rambling and also kind of making shit up but I enjoyed it.
