My parents and I are extremely close and the hardest thing about moving away indefinitely has been leaving them behind. I miss the most mundane of things - even just coming home and watching a few random Netflix episodes with them.
This one goes out to my ma, for everything she’s ever done for me and for pretending to be strong when I moved away even though I know it’s been hard on her. For understanding and encouraging me to go and do what I’ve always wanted - building her a house of gold would be the most minimal thing I could ever do to say thanks.

When I was travelling through Portugal I met some amazing people at the hostel where I was staying. The day after meeting Ajla (Tazmania), Jess (New Zealand), and Jasper (Netherlands), we took a bus together to the most SW point of Portugal to a place called Sagres. There were no clouds in sight, the water was clear blue, and there was barely anyone on the beach. It was a perfect day... and then Jess played SIX60′s Don’t Forget Your Roots and the day got “perfecter”. These guys got together after meeting in University and eventually named their band after the house number where they lived at the time. Crazy.
Shout out to these rad Kiwis!

One month into my internship and I’m finally getting into the groove of things... the sleeping pattern change, the German culture, the adidas work life, the new apartment experiences and so on.
It has gone by so quickly already and I know it’s only going to go by even quicker. I’m stopping now to think about what has already happened and to not take the coming months for granted.
E, I've had way more than one beer as promised. Haven’t had the special chocolate yet though!
