haikyuu character designs are great bc you get all these teams with animal inspirations and you can see the subtle cohesion in their designs like the cattish eyes and behaviour of nekoma or the fox fur colours of inarizaki and then they introduce hoshiumi and he is just a seagull. feathers for hair. weird ass bird eyes that do not look like human skin. just. a seagull.

tsukiyama figure skaters for @tadaffodil ✨🌙

my thoughts on them as skaters:

tsukki would come on the scene as a strong technical skaters with interesting programs that he somehow makes so boring to watch. so general fs fandom don’t like him. but the, as he experiments with styles over a couple of seasons and when he starts to find a style he’s more comfortable with he starts displaying some artistry and style and win more people over. he does however suffer from ugly costume syndrome his entire career.

yamaguchi would be a really talented and loved but inconsistent skater. he’d have beautiful skating skills, but since his jumps are so inconsistent he doesn’t place that much. one series he takes a surprise gp medal which gives him a big boost, and working with sport psychologists he slowly but surely becomes more consistent.\.

hinata shouyou the extrovert of all time. everyone is obsessed with him. everyone who thinks they hate him ends up liking him one way or another. matches everyone's energy in the best way possible. kageyama pushes him and hinata pushes right back. aone doesn't speak to him and hinata doesn't mind, instead they just form a silent friendship. he and pedro didn't get along at first but the second hinata finds some common ground with him he latches on, and understands him. kenma, who kuroo is surprised to see so quickly become close with hinata, and speak so openly with him. gives out compliments to everyone because he loves volleyball so much he just loves seeing people skilled at it. wants his opponents to get better so he can play against more skilled people. everyone falls in love with him and everyone is obsessed with him and he loves everyone in return. i'll go cry.
