âyou sure you want to go down that path, beau bear?â
âI dunno, Robin, that path seems like the right place to me.â
@molly-weasley-the-second
I donât know. Whats an interesting story from around here? Any escaped St Mungoâs patients? Anything wild?
The only wild thing around here is Hannahâs cat. Novemberâs pretty boringâeveryoneâs saving up their celebration for the holidays. Give it a month, and this placeâll be covered in tinsel and drunk professionals.
@molly-weasley-the-secondâ
âNo, not quite. Anything else, take a crack at it. I would love to tell you about the intricacies of my job, but then Iâd have to kill you.â
âWell then. Anything youâre in need of a barkeep confessional for?â
@racheljordâ
âso itâs your bar now? i thought it was hannahâs.â
âWell itâs Hannahâs, and then mine, and then a whole long line of people, and then way, way at the bottom of the list, yourâs.
@molly-weasley-the-second
âThat sounds about right. Sitting at home, all on my lonesome, holds no competition for your witty banter.â
âExactly as it should be. I suppose I canât just ask you how work is going?â
@racheljordâ
âi always have room in my stomach for your cooking.â
âWell if youâre going to sit at my bar and eat my food, you have to keep me company while I close.â
racheljord
âhm, just you and your handsome self.â
âAnything for you, my love,â he said with a snort. âBut really, do you want dinner or something?â
molly-weasley-the-second
âI donât know. What might bring a lovely lady such as myself to a fine establishment on a chilly evening?â
âWarm fire, nothing better to do, and, of course, my irreplaceable company?â
molly-weasley-the-second
âThen Iâll have one of those!â
âComing right up. What brings you in on this fine evening?â
molly-weasley-the-secondâ
âI donât know. Whatâs the special?â
âItâs whiskey sours tonight. But I do make a pretty wicked Boulevardierâ
âSo whatâs it going to be?â

racheljord:
âGood thing you didnât come alone, then. You wouldâve picked out something terribleâ or you wouldâve have come at all and just said that you did,â Rachel said as she stood up from the floor and dusted herself off. âOr maybe itâs you not being able to admit that you were looking at me in a way that youâve never looked at me before?â Rachel rolled her eyes.
âYes, yes, yes, Iâm glad you forced me to come shopping. Happy?â Beau asked, paying for the table and making arrangements to pick it up on their way out of the market. âNow do I need more than a coffee table, or can we go home?â He hoped asking to go home would distract her from the whole âwho was looking at who, how,â line of thought. It was dangerous territory, after all.Â
âDonât know what youâre doing, exactly, but itâd be wonderful if you could do it quietly.â Her hangover has a hangover.
âLil, Iâm wiping down a table. You know, like we do when we open. Which weâre doing.â
the tenth circle of hell âą beau&rachel
âYeah, I do,â Rachel smiled small, feeling a rush of heat in her face, specifically her cheeks. She looked away before she thought Beau had noticed. âItâs your table, or do you trust me that much to do an amazing job?â she asked as more of a rhetorical question and looked up at him. âYouâre looking at me funny,â she said with a smirk, feeling that same flush to her skin but ignoring it.
At her question, Beau rolled his eyes. âOf course I trust you. You know I have the artistic sensibilities of a potato. Actually, Iâve seen more artistic potatoes.â Beau raised an eyebrow. âIâm looking at you like I always look at you. Maybe itâs you looking at me funny and then thinking Iâm looking at youâ you know what, weâll call it a draw,â he said with a smirk.Â
the tenth circle of hell âą beau&rachel
âBecause you love and adore me,â Rachel grinned cheekily. She turned, her hair whiping with her. Rachel walked around the table a few times, even analyzed it so much as sitting in front of it and looking at it extremely closely. âIf you let me fix it up for you, I havenât done a table in ages.â
Beau smiled, feeling a flush rise in his cheeks. âItâs true, you know,â he said quietly, before he could take it back. He glanced at Rachel, sitting on the ground, staring at the table, and felt an overwhelming rush of affection for her. As long as Rach was at his side, he could do anything. ââCourse, Rach. Whatever you want.â
âShit Iâsorry.â Claraâs voice was sharp when she spoke, sheâd just tripped on some eleven year oldâs trunk âsummer had just started what were they doing getting school supplies already?â and was very irritated. It might have been the very odd heat speaking but she didnât care enough to dâwell on it. Sheâd just finished another shift at work and really didnât want to go home just yet, so she made her way down Diagon Alley. Clara wasnât paying attention âwhen was she?â causing her to bump into someone, they were lucky she was so small. She groaned, her voice was still sharp and angry, âIâm so sorry.â
Beau was already running lateâfucking cat had unplugged his alarm in the middle of the nightâand the Alley was ungodly crowded for mid-July and it was Saturday, and the pub was bound to be incredibly busy which meant a stressful night for him and Rachel wasnât even working. And now he was falling over himself trying not to fall onto the cobblestones and there was a girl apologizing without meaning it and why the fuck did he ever leave his flat. Trying to arrange his face into something resembling pleasant, Beau gave her a small smile. âNo harm done,â he said, running his palms against his thighs.Â
