I remember one time I got INSANELY high off of edibles while playing Among Us, and it quickly became apparent to the other players online. I forget how honestly but literally anything "sus" I did was ignored by everyone because I was so fucking high. I tested this theory by standing in front of a body and the person that actually reported it didn't even mention me. The funniest part was when I was trying to do wires, I kept fucking up over and over again, so I was just standing in front of wires for actual minutes trying to figure it out. A small crowd of players gathered around me to watch and would get mad every time someone reported a body or emergency meeting because "she's never going to get her tasks done if you keep interrupting them." I don't think anyone cared about winning at that point, they just wanted to see the high crew mate succeed in her tasks.

I have been asked to talk about bat's stand-ins for different stories/universes.
starting with bleach
We'll start with something sufficiently knee-deep, using heroforge models to save time.
Contrary to his appearance, he is not a captain; but he is widely regarded as having the power of one. Wielding Dokuzetsu (poisonous tongue), his zanpakuto's ability is powerful enough in it's shikai, that he has felt no need to achieve his bankai.
Dokuzetsu's ability is to generate sound, specifically to vibrate at frequencies that produce sound.
Passively, it's sound is confusing, disorienting; it's frequency will mess with the inner ear of listeners, instilling a mild case of vertigo. Actively, it's vibration will increase it's destructive power dramatically, blasting walls apart at the lightest touch; this ability is famous for shattering the zanpakuto of soul reapers unfortunate enough to challenge him. It's greatest ability though is what happens when that frequency is taken to it's highest point; Dokuzetsu begins acting like a sonic knife, cutting through essentially everything it touches; at this point the vibrations are so powerful, the blade becomes fully silent. It could pass through you, your blade, and several walls behind you; you'd only know it when you hit the ground. Additionally, it is able to project these vibrations as powerful sonic blasts, both generalized blasts, and sharp cutting waves.

Oh all sorts, I'm the type to write variants of my OCs into all kinda of media. Devilman, X-Men, even doctor who. I don't usually draw this stuff, but it's all there.
What do you imagine Beau would be like in a more modern and mundane setting?
I don't think a damn thing would change, he's already largely grounded.
