Hermes was trying very hard to get drunk. He hadn’t seen Happy in awhile now, and he was getting lonely. He had had at least eight drinks already but knew that ten more would only get him feeling buzzed at most. With a six pack of beer in one hand and a separate bottle of vodka in the other, Hermes made his way down the hall to one of the music rooms. He was looking for the one where he had found Happy yodeling, and they had played music together. He had fond memories of that room. However, the room wasn’t empty. He could hear the notes of the piano drifting down the hallway before he had even arrived near the room. He recognized the song. It was one that Hermes had played often, especially for parties that his cousin, Dion, hosted. It was without saying that someone would play “Bacchanale” at the Bacchanalia. Hermes entered the room silently. He took a seat next to the girl and started playing the song without a word to her about it. He always saw the song better played as a duo anyways.
Emily was initially surprised when the man started to play alongside of her. The proximity made her slip for a moment but she was quick to get back into the song. He was obviously dealing with something and if she could help with a song she was going to try. He was very good at playing, a natural really. Her fingers danced around the keys and she smiles to herself a little. It was actually a little fun to play with someone else. She almost forgot that she was alone with a man. It was hard to be afraid when she was lost in the music.
