al-Häfidh adh-Dhahabi (rahimahulläh) narrated in the biography of al-Imăm Sufyān ath-Thawri (rahimahullah):
at-Thawri (rahimahulläh) was seen in a dream that he was in Jannah flying from date palm tree to date palm tree...
it was said to him, 'What did you do?' So he (at-Thawri - rahimahullah) said, " am with the honorable, obedient scribes (i.e., the Angels).
So it was said to him, 'What action did you find most preferred?*
He said, 'The Quran.! (reciting, studying, learning its meanings, understanding, following and practicing it)
