"Using an Oxford comma is a sign of AI"
bestie boo, let me fill you in on something: if you're going to take any part of 'good grammar' and randomly assign it to She's A Witch! AI, you might as well give up. It's over. You're cooked. Anyone who has spent the last decade or more learning to type properly, anyone who has spent any time writing articles/papers/essays that require you to use 'good grammar' is going to fall into that 'oh no it might be AI' trap.
Stop hunting like it's 1692. You're not going to find Goody Proctor at the ChatGPT sacrament. What you're going to do is exactly what happened back then: harming people who've done nothing wrong.
can I reblog this a million times
No children is kind of my welcome to the black parade in that hearing the first note of the song has me acting like a gazelle when a lion steps on a twig
the spirit is unwilling and the flesh it feels not so good also
[Description: a TikTok video showing someone holding up a Macbook laptop with an incredulous look, with a caption reading "Alan Turing after I bring him to 2026". The person inspects the laptop, and as they do so they say "Oh my god. This is—this is incredible. Like, I just—I can't even comprehend what I'm looking at here. Like, I just never thought that like in a million years society would ever, ever be able to create something like this." They pause and look at the laptop screen, and say "And you said they're both hockey players?" /End description]

Jewish community:
my ceramics class gave me an assignment to make a cultural vessel (a vessel piece with elements from a culture I feel connected to) and OBVIOUSLY I’m gonna make something Jewish. I have some ideas but I want to get some ideas from y’all? My teacher is really flexible with the definition of a vessel and is willing to count a menorah or whatever. Honestly as long as it’s good enough and vaguely in like a vessel. I wanna try to expirement with niche things… like not just ashke stuff but also mizrahi and Sephardi… maybe Jewish art overlaid on beautiful ceramic vases and stuff.. but anyway. If anyone has any cool photos for me to get inspiration from / any ideas… LMK!!!! Reblog!!! And let me know if yall wanna see my ideas or any updates on the project.
pls guys reblog so more ppl see this haha
Seder plate?
My vote is a netilat yadayim cup, but you could also do a kiddush cup, mezuzah, or besamim container.
my hottest Ilya rozanov SHOW possibility im still turning over in my mind is the possibility he actually was already on team-assigned therapy (for which he continued to lie to the therapist even subliminally) and some form of mood stabilizing medication for most of heated rivalry season 1, because he was actually remarkably stable for that whole season considering fucking everything. Like he seethed with jealousy in that club but he didn’t do anything to actually ruin that relationship, stayed remarkably level headed for his games, for the most part didn’t lash out at his family. I think that was already the baseline special medicated version of Ilya we saw
(Taking this out of commenting because I’d love to actually discuss this…)
My interpretation from the books (although I’ve only read HR and like 2/3 of TLG) is that Ilya has based a lot of his self-worth on being amazing at hockey and having lots of people desire him sexually.
So he has this stable core of identity and knowing who he is while all the stuff in HR is happening, which means he doesn’t feel those self-destructive impulses. He knows who he is and has a foundation for dealing with those stressors so he doesn’t feel out of control about them.
When he moves to Ottowa and becomes monogamous with Shane it takes both of those coping mechanisms/identity cornerstones away at once… and adds the major stressor of being closeted. So he’s dealing with a huge loss of identity AND doesn’t have anyone who he’s out to; it triggers a massive depressive spiral. A spiral that he is genetically predisposed to, but it still needed that trigger.
So that causes the tipping point into self-destructive behaviors.
Especially because, as described in some of his therapy sessions, he’s doing people pleasing behaviors for Shane (selling his cars and motorcycle) that are further sacrificing his sense of identity for the relationship. A sacrifice Shane didn’t ask for (and thus doesn’t see) but that Ilya feels strongly.
So the one good thing in his life (that he sacrificed all the other good things for) is souring. Which then causes “did I make a massive mistake???” stress and deepens the spiral.
I stopped reading TLG when Shane has the realization about what Ilya has sacrificed, they become a team again, and the book seems to become more focused on the NHL leadership being awful. (I wasn’t feeling so hot emotionally, so I removed stressors in my life. I’ll get back to it.)
But I do think it’s telling how a lot of Ilya’s depression is relieved when Shane finally Sees Him, recognizes his sacrifices, and takes a step towards him for their relationship.
It kind of seems to me like Ilya’s depression is more situational?
saw an Online Man (tm) whining that he went into Barnes and Noble for the first time in years and it was all romantasy catering to stupid icky women and it’s like, dude. Do you need me to take your large, soft hands in mine and explain in itty-bitty, dulcet words HOW THE FUCK CAPITALISM WORKS???
And like, not to argue with a dude who isn't here, but does he understand how SHELVES work?! Because I also went into a Barnes and Noble recently, and while yes, there were romantasy shelves and displays, John Grishom alone took up almost a section. Manly man books about manly men doing man things in a manly way with their manly manness are still available. They still get PRINTED. Romantasy is an "also" not an "instead of."
this just in, a local man lost in front of the romantasy bookshelf, refuses to ask for directions. more at 11

love when a character is a scientist and their speciality is science and they do science in a science lab. no specifics no clear goals no clue where their funding comes from. dont even worry about it. science.
Because if you do look at what they are doing, even for a second, it will be some shit like this
That channel’s most recent video was turning vodka into toilet paper using bacteria isolated from kombucha and a dehydrator.
This sampling also doesn’t include the video where they mummified a chicken.
