i’ve been making a point to show my discomfort/disgust/exasperation when the men around me make comments about women that are vulgar or objectifying in any way, and slowly i’m feeling less and less guilty for being “that feminist bitch who wants to ban men from talking about women.” that’s exactly what i want. men can and should shut up about women forever because you have proven unfailingly that you are incapable of respecting us or seeing us as real, complex human beings who (believe it or not) were not brought into this world simply to delight you.
