Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner Review

I first heard about this product a few months ago when Skincaresya posted about it. I had never heard of cleansing toner before. I mean, is it a hydrating, or an exfoliating toner? Where does it stand?

Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner is meant to balance out the skin pH level after we wash it with a second cleanser (face wash). I have two pH balancing toner now, the other one being Etude House Soonjung. After reading the ingredients list in COSDNA, I don’t really see any exfoliating agents in this product, so I assume it’s totally safe to be used everyday like you use hydrating toner.

The licorice root helps to pick up any excess dirt that’s left on your skin after the double cleansing step, making your skin squeaky clean.

The texture is very watery, not sticky or dense at all. I really this kind of toner. In fact, I’m on my second bottle already! It has helped my bumps to get clear faster than when I don’t use this in my routine. It leaves my skin hydrated and moist. But I feel like using this toner alone is not enough to act as a hydrating toner. Usually I will use this right after I wash my face, and then continue with hydrating toner and the rest of my skincare routine. If I had exfoliating toner, I would replace it with this cleansing toner so I wouldn’t exfoliate my skin too much.

NIGHT SKINCARE ROUTINE -- 6/7/2019

Some people may prefer the simple and quick skincare steps because it takes a long time to prep the skin with the 10 steps Korean skincare routine. But for me, applying my skincare is my zen moment. It’s the time where I can just listen to slow music and pamper myself after a really long day.

[REVIEW] COSRX One Step Original Clear Pad

This is my first ever exfoliating toner. And I must say, this changes my life. I never knew the importance of having an exfoliating toner in my skincare routine at first, until I won this baby from a giveaway on Instagram.

I use this right after I wash my face, and I was shook the first time I used it because even after doing double cleansing, it still picked up dirt. Wow, imagine all the dirt I slept with all this time from not exfoliating my face regularly.

The pad has two sides, one has larger pads, the other has smaller pads. After I swipe the larger surface on my face, I use the smaller one to help the toner sink into the skin.

So far it hasn't break me out or given me anything bad.
