idk if this ww rom I have is funky but there has now been 2 instances of villagers being in boxes and then.... not moving out the next day lol
ok 20 years too late but I was able to replicate this with bones so I think I know what happened:
if you send a ww villager a fruit letter (a single-sentence letter mentioning the word "fruit" and sending one as a gift) they seem to be compelled to send a gift back (this is how you farm non-native fruit in ww too). I was following the thonky guide for letters at around the same time rosie and friga wanted to move so that's likely what happened with them too
