Hello Hello!

Since This Post for Rocky References had a whole bunch of interactions and some requests in the reblog tags, I decided to put together a huge list of images for reference. I will probably split them up into individual posts later (and will link them in this post when I do) but for now.... please enjoy this absolute mess of a Google Doc with reference images for Rocky and Grace.

I know this was several months ago but im looking for that artistic reference of the “draw your fav like this” and it looked to be a cracked porcelain bust with flowers coming out of the broken part around the upper head and eye. I think the cracks were colored as well

I was so inspired by this that I wanted to make my own.

However, this was an intro to ceramics class (for non art majors/minors). I have never thrown anything before this class. So A it turned out smaller than I expected, B i lost this post until recently so i was working off of memory.

With that out of the way here is my rendition which i affectionately call my “serial killer” mug

I did remember what was written but A) I couldn’t get it to fit B) I decided to try and paint the words on with dip glaze

Tldr: thank you @claypigeonpottery for your inspiration that has led to this creation. And you very much undersold how bad biting clay was going to be.
