âTwice,â Beck replied amusedly, though at the memory, he couldnât help but grimace slightly. âOnce at the club, and once getting out of the cab,â He continued on then, remembering the way the other had just missed his shoes as he covered the pavement. âAnd we ran into Mrs. Johnson on our way up,â He remembered, chuckling at the memory of the other attempting to take the womanâs dog right from her hands as she shouted in protest. ââ I think you actually managed to make her hate us more, so. If we get a visit from the landlord anytime soon about her complaining, you get to deal with it.â Though he knew that wasnât trueâ For the most part he handled most of the important things when it came to the apartment. Chris was really only there for company and entertainment⊠and something to look at.Â
âI never doubted that you did,â He told him then, actually chuckling this time as the other rested his head on the counter, âBut I work out too, in case you havenât noticed.â Though he doubted that the other hadnât noticed, considering he was currently sitting in front of him sans a shirt; he flexed slightly despite himself. Feeling himself flush at the otherâs question, Beck couldnât help but clear his throat awkwardly, hand moving then to card through his hair as he gave him a sheepish look. ââ Next to you, actually,â He told him slowly after a long moment, a flush creeping down his chest despite how hard he willed it away. âI was pretty drunk too,â He cleared up, blaming his lack of judgment of his own levels of intoxication, âMy eyes saw a bed, so thatâs where I landed,â He justified, hoping that the other would understand and not freak out. âYou didnât ruin my night though, no,â He continued on then, giving him a small smile as he did so. âIt was just a stupid bar⊠Iâll have plenty of other chances to go.âÂ
Chris let out a groan, muffled by the counter top, as Beck told him he threw up twice. He must have really not given a shit last night to go that hard. He hadnât thrown up since the beginning of Sophomore year of college, which he had taken pride in, until now. âGod, really?â he asked, picking his head off the counter momentarily to look at the other man to make sure he wasnât just screwing with him, He wasnât, unfortunately. He made a face as he drained the rest of his coffee, which did nothing but scratch the surface of his hangover from hell, pushing it back over to Beck for a refill. âYeah yeah, I see that. You donât have to walk around the apartment without a shirt on to prove it.â he pointed out as he got up and stuck his head in the refrigerator, searching for something to eat.
Even with a hangover, Chris was always hungry. He could eat more than two guys twice his size and it never seemed to catch up to him. He always responded with metabolism or some other shit, confident that his body was a human garbage disposal pretty much. âHmm?â he hummed curiously, hard to hear from inside the fridge but then he froze, and pulled his head out momentarily to look at Beck with a very guilty expression. âI, uhâŠOkay, just going to say it: sorry if I got clingy or cuddled or whatever it is I do when I sleep. And donât play dumb, because I know I do it and I canât help it, itâs like a subconscious thingâŠ.so, sorry you had to witness that, thatâs all.â he admitted, not looking at the other in embarrassment before disappearing back into the fridge.
