Kevin McCloud on every episode of Grand Designs: here we have a five story eye sore, made entirely out of materials scavenged from children's hospitals. these English yuppies have erected this monstrosity right in the middle of a secluded, humble Spanish village. the residents are forced to stare blankly at this cold reminder of imperial entitlement and capitalist overindulgence every single day. John and Linda have built their home quite literally in the town square! inside, we have three kitchens, each one costing more than the price of feeding the local peoples for their entire lifetimes. the roof leaks, even in a drought. there's no windows, and the doors are made of spiders. I don't think anybody remembered to put down any foundations actually? we'll probably be looking at a smouldering pile of rubble this time next month...
