ok hi, i’m back again!! going to share some brief info about myself here, so i can pin this post 💕
you can call me bee🐝 (27yo, she/her, ally🏳️🌈) but i also go by “alisander_prith” on AO3…don’t ask me why, i think i used a StarWars name generator to choose it like 7 years ago, LOL!! for the longest time, i was simply an invisible reader on AO3, but something changed in me over the past year. i’ve always loved writing, and nearly published my own book a few years ago (never ended up finishing it, probably won’t go back to it), but i never thought to write my own fanfic. never really had the desire to, i guess?
butttt then i discovered the world of hockey, and all hell broke loose. i very likely have undiagnosed ADHD & i hyperfixate on things very easily; hence, my—no longer newfound—obsession with the San Jose Sharks. i’m originally from the Bay Area, so they’re technically my home team. i live in LA now, but i when i started watching random NHL games last season, i didn’t feel connected to the Kings. the only team that really grabbed me was the Sharks (Drew & Randy are extremely dear to me & since i’m in CA i get Sharks games on ESPN/TBS/etc.), so i went with it, & then i slowly discovered the RPF of it all and was completely hooked.
so far, i’ve written one OC 130K+ word (completed, but needs a sequel) hockey fic (based in the Heated Rivalry universe, but is essentially a totally original work), along with two WillMack fics in the same ABO universe—one is 108K+ words (WIP) & the other is a shorter off-shoot (completed) of the same fic. if you enjoy reading hockey romance in general, you would probably like my original work “Cross-Checked Lovers” since i don’t think it requires any knowledge of HR to enjoy, tbh. i’m currently in the very early stages of a SaMisa fic as well. God willing, my crazy ass brain will get her to 100K+ words too, lol!
my favorite author is Alessandra Hazard (look her up, you won’t regret it—she recently released an F1 MLM book that is fire flames). i’m also a part-proud, part-ashamed fujoshi and, unfortunately, really enjoyed Jinx by Mingwa. if you like sports manhwa/manga & don’t mind extreme toxicity, you’d probably love it. i guess i have a thing for hot male athletes touching each other? #noregrets #sueme #whatever, there are worse things to be into!
