A series of graphic works, "Visual Impressions from the Works of H.P. Lovecraft"
1. "The Realm of Nightmare"
2. "The Sacrifice"
3. "The Unknown Idol"
4. "Contact with the Unknown"
I adore the idea of indescribable horror in Lovecraft's works. For me, it offers a vast field for imagination, as well as an opportunity to challenge myself to depict indescribable abominations and nightmares in reality.
Despite all my efforts, I was unable to fully convey the atmosphere of "cosmic horror." My works turned out rather anthropocentric, while the writer focused more on describing alien races, interstellar travel, civilizations hidden in the folds of multidimensional space, and how such things drive those unfortunate enough to encounter them mad.
In my performance, a person becomes not only a victim of a fateful encounter with the unknown, but also a full-fledged part of it. Through a person, the indescribable takes on form and corporeality.
Even though I deviated from the original source, I'm still pleased with the result :^)
P.s. I translated the text using Google Translate, so there might be some mistakes😅
