First tumblr post in like forever and its comms. That’s kinda awesome LOL

ANYWAYS !!! Me and my family have been made homeless after we were illegally evicted due to discrimination, so I’m opening commissions through cashapp and kofi!! I will draw just about anything, any kind of character and any kind of art (even stuff not listed here!!!).

stormclan's folly is... interesting. i think it might legitimately be the worst-written warrior cats book, period, in terms of style, plot, pacing, and (lack of actual) characters. which is genuinely impressive. rambling below

almost every time a cat gets mentioned for the first time, it's because they're going to die. so many cats in this book are only brought up moments before their deaths, or like. the second they're about to become relevant. i legitimately thought i'd missed flash being introduced as a friendly rogue for a second because he is literally not mentioned before that point.

the narrative really contrives to make sure you understand that This Could Never Ever Work. the only way is the current way. trying to change things is bad. there is always hope, rainkit says at the end of the book. except, of course, for if you dare to think things could be different. jesus christ how was that last speech from thunderstar NOT meant to be a villain speech??

it has a lot of the same issues of weird meanspiritedness the newer books tend to have. it's just kind of nasty. everyone is nasty. i also didn't care for the writing style at all. there was some very notable repetition of certain words and phrases (driven to distraction, "gabbled") as well as a weird habit of drawing out words in a way that feels almost comedic, even though it's always done in a serious situation. i cannot take "thunderclaaaaan!" or "galestaaaar!" seriously

so many time jumps. i get that they had to squeeze the plot into a certain amount of book but this really contributed to nobody really being anyone. i don't know or care about any of these people. i don't care when they die. we never even learned galestar's warrior name, which is a really weird thing not to know about one of your protagonists

i've read every single warrior cats book. i cannot think of a single one i enjoyed less.
