we know already that i have several controversial loz opinions but probably the one that will make the most people on tumblr angry is that i kind of hate the “feral idiot” characterization of post-resurrection botw link

this has left the circle of people who have read my tags so let me make it clear that removing “idiot“ from the equation actually does nothing to address the problem i have with this. the feral aspect is part of it. it’s actually the more important part of it. lmao

List of reasons why BOTW Link is not Feral:

1) Cooks his food. Plates it up nicely too. Does not eat raw monster parts nor bugs (looking at you TP Link).

2) Brews his own potions instead of getting them from shady witches in the forest.

3) Probably the most vocal and personable Link ever. Can tell puns and use sarcasm. Speaks weirdly on-purpose to be funny. Does not just stare at people when they speak to him.

4) Fills out a compendium. Is savvy with technology and is able to take pretty pictures for the fun of it.

5) Cares about fashion. Buys entire outfits. Spends thousands on earrings. Dye’s his clothes just for the look. Does his hair to match his outfit - he doesn’t have to put his hair into a bun to wear sheikah armor but he does it for the ✨Aesthetic✨. If your version is running around naked then that’s on you: he’s a nudist, not feral. Get it right.

6) Literally buys property. Installs mounts and furniture. Decorates his house. Puts up pictures. Gets a fancy chandelier. He pays for a landscaper GUYS, HE PAYS FOR A LANDSCAPER TO PLANT PRETTY FLOWERS AND TREES IN HIS YARD THIS GUY IS NOT FERAL HE’S A FUCKING SUBURBAN MOM
