Why is it that every time I google something like "Are olives poisonous to cats" the top results are always like "Fun fact: Cats are carnivores! This means that they eat meat. There is no reason to include olives in a cat's diet. You should feed your cat cat food, which is dry or wet food especially designed for cats. You can purchase this at a store." like is there a single person alive on the planet who's googled "Are blueberry muffins safe for cats" because they're planning on switching their cat to a muffin-only diet??? No, I'm asking because the little bastard somehow popped open the packet while I was putting away the groceries and dragged one under the couch before I could react and now I need to know if I should call the after-hours vet. "Cats should not eat spaghetti." NO SHIT, SHERLOCK!!!! "Try to keep human food away from cats." i live in a studio apartment with a completely silent and permanently hungry apex predator who has the intelligence of a toddler and the desperate Machiavellian cunning of a creature who spent his formative months on the streets. He can already open doors and he is this 👌 close to learning how to open the microwave. He is stronger than me and covered in knives. So im gonna do my best but for the moment i just need you to tell me whether this yoghurt is going to kill my son y/n

HERE IS MY NEW LITTLE MAN!!!

I am still deciding on the name but tbh it's probably between Orange Line and Government Center. Maybe he can have an official name and a silly one lmao

He's very curious so far! Very zoomy and loves to explore the terrarium :) Bold little dude which I'm loving!

Here's his digs! Got fun new plants at the expo, and what an awesome experience. Definitely going back just for the fun of it!

He was bred by Gecko Guy Exotics and he's a bit over a year old!

Little terrarium WIP!! :D of course it needs more cover and plants, but I'm going to (my first!!) reptile expo on Sunday, where I'm gonna get the Geck, and I want to peruse their fake plant selection!

Hammock is dangling bc I need to suction cup it to the door. Substrate is Zilla Jungle Mix with some extra sphagnum clumps for texture! All of the decor was washed thoroughly in dilute bleach solution (and rinsed super well) after Beep passed

I'm happy with how this is looking. Needed a change from how it used to look. New gecko, new home!

Hey, I know this is... not the update anyone wanted, after I stopped posting here just because keeping up a pet blog was difficult for me...

Beep passed away tonight. After a short battle with an ultimately unknown illness and a visit to the emergency vet, my beloved little guy died in my hand tonight while I was trying to care for him. He would've been 7 in March

This is the last good picture I got of him, before he was sick

Thank you for following this blog. Maybe one day I will share a future crested gecko I get, but I don't want another right now.
