The top was the very first drawing I was able to do that I was genuinely proud of. I copied a blank anime girl group base and added hair and clothes to them, without reference or worry. That drawing made me so happy and made me want to continue to create and draw.
The bottom is a new simple drawing I did in my free time.
It's amazing how truly amazed I can still be at my skills after all this time and what I'm capable of if I just keep moving forward. 💖

Was looking through old OC art when I found one for The Owl House.
I might be interested in drawing more of her at some point. Image 1 - her in her Hexside uniform. 2 and 3 are her Palisman Cleo. And 4 is her grom outfit.
-Her name is Moon Scythehelm.
-She's part of the Oracle coven at Hexside.
-Her best friend is Edric and he's always doing his best to get a chuckle out of her.
-Her favourite colour is green... Which might be why she can't seem to stop staring at Emira👀
-Her palisman is a flying squid named Cleo.
-She's also a fortune-telling prodigy and her father uses her incredible gift to run a successful shop, selling fortunes and good luck charms - that do absolutely nothing.
-Her father also pushes her too hard to succeed in life and constantly has her strengthening her magic.
-Lately, she's been having terrible visions and bad omens for the future. She gets glimpses of what's to come and it honestly frightens her. But her father won't listen to her concerns.
-Being overworked and these terrible visions of the future have left her in a constant state of sleep deprivation with a coffee addiction like no other.
My only New Year's resolution was to read more physical books. I very much have the mentality that buying books and reading books are two separate hobbies. And I've been giving the buying one more attention than the reading one.
So I really want this to work in my favour. And, to kind of hold myself accountable, I've decided to post each read here once I'm finished.
Thoughts:
It's really good. It's comforting and kind of cozy in the way it's written. The stories presented feel realistic and yet there's still this whimsical, fantasy charm to it. I enjoyed this book a lot and if your a slice-of-life anime fan or enjoy something wholesome, then I'd recommend this one. Plus, the fox character reminds me a lot of Tomoe from Kamisama Kiss and having his voice in my head when reading his lines was a lovely added addition to my reading experience.

Somethung I made for a family member. They're hosting a Christmas party and I wanted to make them something beautiful with my new watercolor pencils.
First time using them so I'll count it as a success because this is absolutely gorgeous in my eyes😍
So... I tried.
I went to the Wacky Watch website - because I am obsessed with TADC and want to consume anything with bearing its name - and was pretty excited to see that we could design a door and our own character. So I instantly tried to recreate an old Digital Circus OC I made, but digital drawing is still not my strong suit - and it doesn't help that I only had my finger and a crappy digital pen at my disposal.
I guess I hope you like the effort I at least put in. Or that you can at least appreciate my good traditional drawings.

Believe it or not but this is my first pen drawing (well, one that's an actual drawing, that I actually put work into and not random doodles or scribbles)
And of course it's Angel Dust in drag. To say I'm obsessed would be an understatement.
So, at my work, they hired this lady to keep kids busy in the afternoons while they wait for their parents. She does arts and crafts every Friday. Recently she bought a whole bunch of foam clay and there's been different crafts going on with it.
The other women at my work, so we'll as myself, think these little clay things are absolutely adorable and have also been getting in on the fun.
... So, in short, this is the first thing I've made thanks to my new hyper fixation. Her name is Daisy the Flower Dino🌺

Question to all those that like webcomics and fanfiction, or just online forms of storytelling in general:
Is it better to have a book/webcomic on a permanent hiatus - where you know the author will never finish it - or the author deleting the unfinished book/webcomic and be in a constant state of "whatever happened to that one thing I used to read"?

I swear, playing Sims is better than watching any soap opera to ever exist.
So, just got Snowy Escape Expansion Pack for Sims 4 and was excited to see what was added. I wanted my daughter Sim to have lots of friends and was happy when she invited over a friend after her first day at school.
But, it being Sims 4, tings can't just be normal. The friend, immediately after arriving to daughter's home, insults her. Then the first thing she does when she goes inside the house is steal one my daughter's toys and punches her stuffed animal. Daughter gets upset and they both start to fight! My daughter wins, which made me a very proud Simmer as no one messes with my Sim. So-called friend leaves - and didn't give back the toy she stole!
Mom Sim came to the rescue with a trip to a food stall and a comforting pep talk and joke... Before nearly dying in a fire while trying to cook a grilled cheese. She is then saved by two firefighters, who then proceed to stay and take food from the fridge and, to add insult to injury, the one cooked a grilled cheese on the newly purchased stove. Now I'm trying to get my Mom Sim to go out with him because clearly he'll be better at cooking than her.
All this happened in one day. 😂
Mira's my favorite. She's the visual and lead dancer of HUNTR/X. Nobody can move like Mira. Apparently she's the black sheep of her family. I don't know why because she's sooo cool. Who else could wear a sleeping bag to the Met Gala?
