The glamorization of motherhood is why so many mothers try to live through their kids. As a parent, your job is to give birth and care for them. Not to fantasize about watching them walk down the aisle or wearing a cap and gown. Telling your child that they’re a disappointment because they don’t fit the image in your head of who they should be is so fucking selfish!!! “Well why can’t I have that? I gave birth all for nothing?”.....???? You didn’t “have” it in the first place because you can’t “have” an experience that is meant for your child and not you. Stop objectifying your babies ☺️
