The "magic" of Christmas is a bit late. But anyway - it's good - it's more wintery than most of the previous winters ❄️🤘

Paying a visit to relatives and friends who are no longer among us. Every evening on November 1st, our local Christian cemeteries become surreally comforting, illuminated by the glow of thousands of red and white candles lit by loved ones.

Not an everyday sight, but also nothing special for rural areas in Romania. Only three persons marvel and take pictures of this peaceful inter-species gathering, as you can notice :)

Overflowing geraniums proliferate in a sunny, socialist-era balcony. Well, the flowers are actually Pelargonium 🙂.

Preparations for the next winter. In some mountain areas, central heating for old apartments is still non existent, so the inhabitants must resort to wood burning in stoves. The apartment building has a centralised exhaust (chimney) and each individual stove is connected to it.

The moon, as it could be seen a few days ago, from Eastern Europe. No, I don't like it when it's in the full moon phase, when it looks like a boring flat dirty disk; I find it much more interesting when the sunlight hits its surface at some angle (from Earth's point of view) and reveals its round shape and the rough surface with craters 🌖🤩.

This image is quite a heavy crop from the original picture, but with a little Snapseed I think I pulled a decent-looking satellite.

The turquoise glow after sunset, visible mostly on clear summer... days?/nights? . Literally last rays of light, the afterglow of what was a summer's day.
