I’ll never stop talking about the way TVD writers treated Caroline like she was favoured over Elena and Bonnie. They never said it outright, but it was obvious.
Like how dumb do you think we are to not notice how you kept stripping away or redirecting major parts of Bonnie and Elena’s characterization around love, sacrifice, and power. while Caroline’s love life and her power remained just aspects of her character, never becoming the entirety of who she was as a person.
Let alone that she literally got the dream life that she always wanted when elena and bonnie kept getting shit and after every crisis they went thru it just made bonlena lose parts of themselves and suffer while caroline kept growing into a better version of herself and going forward with her perfect life
That’s why i always felt like caroline’s development was additive, while Bonnie and Elena’s was so often subtractive.
I’m happy that at least one female character in tvd still gets to be herself but seriously what about the others that y’all erased
