yesterday 1 hour into my 5 hour sleep i woke up ABRUPTLY & i was just pure consciousness terrified of itself not knowing who i was or why i was there & then reality set in & my memories were familiar but uncomfortable & my foot was asleep so i sat up & very slowly eased into its pins & needles & realized i was overheating from too much blanket so it took a while to cool down & fall back asleep

a few other times ive woken up hyperaware of my neck & how easily i could be decapitated & i connect these experiences together with the intense, disorienting fear of pain & dying & experiencing nothing ever again. except this time it was a lot more abstract
