family is first | regulus & bella
Regulus led her into the drawing room where he’d been sitting, and called for Kreacher. The house elf appeared with a tray of tea in hand. He set the tray down next to them and bowed before scurrying back to the kitchen. “Well thank you. I was just thinking that I needed more sweets.” He wrapped his arms around her, holding her tight. He wasn’t sure when he’d next see her, and he wanted every meeting the two had to be memorable.
"I assure you, I never meant to. If it were up to me I’d have stayed young and short forever." He pulled away, his smile turning bittersweet, and motioned for her to sit down with him. "So, how’s the family doing? It’s been a while since we’ve gotten together, you’ll have to catch me up on everything that’s going on."
It was almost hard for her to see sometimes, how much Regulus managed to change when it seemed as if they were both children just yesterday. But so much time had passed, it was only reasonable that he would be different. She would never forgive him for being taller than her now though, it was much harder to kiss him on the top of the head. Bella offered a smile as she sat down, wrapping her fingers around one of the handles of the tea cups. One good thing about house elves, they always did their jobs. "Unfortunately, I haven't found a spell that will let me keep you young and short. So we'll have to deal with how you are now."
The question he'd asked was a loaded one, though any question pertaining to the Black family could be percieved as that. She offered him a weak smile. "The family is... well, the family. Good, for the most part. Andie is making some... questionable decisions that I don't approve of. But that has always seemed to be something she enjoys doing. You though? I haven't heard any trouble brewing with your name stamped on it, cousin."
