There’s this weird pressure that I feel from society that I have to be thin in order to enjoy the outdoors. In all honestly, I don’t think that’s fair. Why do I have to be thin in order to go trail running or hiking or mountain biking? Am I less of an athlete because my arms giggle and I enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches? I don’t want to be thin, I want to have endurance to climb a 14er and enjoy my pop tart on the way to the top.
