Yeah, you can face this.
It’s been a few months and I’m still beyond disappointed with how the show turned out. I always have said a show goes stale after four seasons and it’s generally true with some exceptions. I’m in like season 6 of the Vampire Diaries and I’m only moderately lost as opposed to Pretty Little Liars which I have watched (unfortunately) in its entirety where they literally found Allison in season four and still kept the show going for what???? Anyways I think the 100 was a great show, it was a massive part of my 2010s and for that I’m super grateful to the cast especially the core misfits but letting it go feels like the right thing to do. With that being said I haven’t checked this blog since I angrily wrote my post on why the ending was shit and I stand by what I said. So I’m just letting this blog go. I’ll leave it up obviously but I don’t really have anything else to add to it.
Big thanks to everyone who ever reblogged or liked my posts I’m grateful for the opportunity to mildly entertain you. Peace.
Am I happy that Lexa and Clarke got to be together, on screen one last time? Absolutely, I’ve always felt Lexa deserved better though, and this doesn’t fix that. Do I also think this is attempt to make some fans happy? Absolutely. Don’t take this as a win, when Lexa and every fan has deserved better since season 3. And Bellamy not being there for the end? When he’s been there since the first episode of season 1? What kind of bullshit is that? I would’ve been happy if Clarke ended up with Lexa, I would’ve been happy if Clarke ended up with Bellamy. But to get no Bellamy and...kind of Lexa? Ehhhhhhhhh. Ehhhhhhhh. I’m not amused. That said, it was cool to see Lexa again.
BUT I am celebrating an end of JRoth making a great show so fucking problematic.
Don’t worry y’all, Bellamy came back too.
He came back early, has a house ready for Clarke and is waiting for her there.
Bellarkes and Clexas were baited and bruised until the very end.
May We Meet Again
Happy Freedom from Jason Rothenberg Day!
please tell me you all know the only reason he brought back lexa was to take advantage of your passion for her, to boost his viewership, and amplify his chances of getting his shitty prequel green-lit? please tell me you understand that? he used all of us. this is not a win, my dudes. he’s manipulating the lgbtq+ community one last time for his own selfish fucking purpose, and he needs to be called the fuck out on it, not praised. god, i’m literally raging.
pick your canon
The 100 ended at the hug in S6 when canon Bellarke hug in the sunset
OR
This entire thing was a result of Clarke’s solitary-induced psychosis and she’s still drawing the picture on the ark waiting to go to earth. But now she knows what not to do AND the books are what ACTUALLY happens on the ground.
“Bellamy died for his beliefs” bullshit, he died for bad writing
But seriously - do you know how fucking good it could have been if Bellamy had been there and the last line of the show was Bellamy saying
“So what now, Princess?”
And Clarke responding:
“Whatever the hell we want.”
And then boom out on Radioactive
The 100 farewell week
Day 1 - may we meet again - most iconic quote or scene: The delinquents being happy and singing in the rover in 3x01
I know I’ll see you. I know I’ll see you on the other side.
did shawn mendes transcend
Transcendence is a choice? You can choose to come back? Of course. Though until now, no one ever had. There won’t be offspring. And they won’t join us when they die. None of them seem to care. A curious species indeed.
+ the one other person who should have been there thanks for nothing jroth
