Bella’s Treasures introduction post
Hello! I am Isabella, this is my blog where I post about art history, anthropology, archives, and more. I’m currently studying art history & anthropology in university with a focus on Middle East studies. Which is vague, I know. I have a particular interest in Iran, Persian empires, and adjacent regions. I believe knowledge should be readily accessible and also edit on Wikipedia to stick to my beliefs.
I intend to go into curation or museum education and believe museums are not only a form of preserving culture, but a deciding factor in how we see it. For this reason I feel museums are especially powerful. I am a multicultural Latina (Chinese-Cuban) and have always valued studying cross-cultural dynamics.
I do not tolerate any reactionary POVs. As always, I value having civil discussions but I am pro-academia, pro-intellectual, and definitely pro-arts. I believe that the arts are underfunded and generally inaccessible, and would like to help in changing this. I come from an arts background, so my interest in museums is deeply personal as well! History should be accessible and overall inspires creatives more than one would think.
Kind of unrelated but I also love MAC lipsticks. Ridiculously so.
