Vulcans in Enterprise insisting that time travel isn’t real is an odd choice. Time travel is one of the most common phenomena that happens in Trek.

I’m going to go ahead and assume that the Vulcans know damn well that time travel exists but they know if humans find out about it they will fuck up the time line immediately.

Trip Tucker from Enterprise is so funny to me. He is constantly begging to go on away missions, and archer consistently just says "no." The poor man is begging, he promises he'd be so helpful, he's so useful really.

He told Hoshi that he isn't good at learning languages, and that's the only reason he isn't a communications officer. He wants to meet every alien so badly.

And any time there's confidential information, and he's not in on it. He will beg Captain Archer for info. I love this nosy man.

thinking about harry kim’s ability to make friends with literally anyone… like tom and b’elanna are the most obvious examples of course but also the way he invites janeway to eat with him after they first arrive in the delta quadrant cuz he knows that she’s feeling just as scared and isolated as everyone else on voyager. the way he makes a genuine effort and eventually succeeds in becoming friends with tuvok even after tuvok dismisses him as the goofy ensign. the way seven comes onboard and he immediately sees her for the traumatized, lonely person that she is and responds by reaching out instead of treating her with fear and suspicion like pretty much everyone else does.

and with each of these people he’s approaching them on their level, speaking to them in a language they understand. he plays kal-toh with tuvok, banters about engineering with b’elanna, discusses what it means to be a starfleet officer with janeway. like he gets it, you know, he gets that deep down everyone just needs a little bit of connection, that the real key to survival is found within each other

Julian Bashir is such a hilarious character conceptually. What if we took one of the most attractive men you’ve ever seen and give him a series of absolutely deranged character traits? 

He’s got a foot fetish. He’s one of the most beautiful men alive, but TERRIBLE with women. He loves tennis but for some reason only plays racquetball. He’s got a teddy bear named Kukalaka. He’s a genetically augmented super genius and an absolute moron. He tried to skip rocks over a sentient puddle. His best friends on the station are 1.) a Cardassian super spy and assassin who wants to fuck him 2.) an emotionally repressed Irishman and 3.) a worm. When presented with aforementioned Cardassian spy the first thing he does is form a book club. He’s obsessed with LARPing. He has a spy kink. He’s physically incapable of shutting the fuck up. Every time he tries to go to an academic conference he gets kidnapped. His job at DS9 is his first fucking job out of college.

on that note why is there NO medical privacy in Starfleet? there’s like no private exam rooms or hospital beds in any sickbays. random people walk into the room in the middle of exams all the time and the doctors will just share diagnoses in a room full of people. like wtf what if I didn’t need my supervisor knowing that I have IBS or im pregnant with an alien or whatever????? captains will just ask doctors for updates on someone’s condition and immediately get them?
