Okay so I'm currently rewatching lucifer for like the fifth time and (spoilers) there's several instances in season five pt 1 that mention that time passes differently in hell than on earth, specifically that lucifer was in hell for "thousands of years" while on earth it had only been two months. There's no specific mention of HOW MANY years, so I'm just gonna say 2,000 for the sake of why not. Now, I was wondering the mathematical ratio of days on earth compared to days in hell.

So if 2 earth months = 2,000 hell years, then we can guesstimate that about 9 earth weeks = 2,000 hell years, so 63 earth days = 2,000 hell years, so

1512 earth hours = 2,000 hell years, soooo

0.756 earth hours = 1 hell year. Since 1 hour equals 60 minutes, then:

45.36 earth minutes = 1 hell year. And since there's 60 seconds in a minute, then, drumroll please:

45 minutes and 21 seconds pass on earth for every 1 year that passes in hell, assuming that lucifer was in hell for exactly 2,000 years

I did the rough math in my head when we first heard how long he was gone and it broke me.

Seeing it exactly.... it hurts.

If you approximate that 1 earth month = 1000 hell years, that means 1 earth day = 33.3 hell years.

So it was probably around 30-40 years between the demons reporting to Lucifer that Chloe was in the shootout and Amenadiel coming to fetch him.

And similarly another 30-40 years for Amenadiel holding down the fort before God told him he could go. No wonder he went to see his son 🥺🥺 he hadn't seen him in yearss
