Ephesians 6:10-18. [10] Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. [11] Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. [12] For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. [13] Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. [14] Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, [15] and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. [16] In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. [17] Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [18] And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. “Lord, help me put on the whole armor of God, every piece You've provided, so I can stand firm against the tricks and schemes the enemy uses to take me down.
I'm in a spiritual battle whether I acknowledge it or not, and the enemy is strategic, cunning, looking for weak spots where I'm unprotected and vulnerable.
Teach me that this armor isn't optional equipment for when battles get intense but daily necessity for standing firm against an enemy who never stops attacking.
The whole armor means every piece matters, belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, sword of the Spirit, nothing left off.
Help me understand that I can't stand against the enemy's tricks in my own strength, that without Your armor I'm exposed, defenseless, easily defeated.
Remind me that the enemy's tricks are real but so is the armor You've provided, that I don't fight unequipped but fully prepared when I put on what You've given.
Give me discipline to put on this armor daily, to check that every piece is in place before I step into battles I'll face today.
Let me stand firm today wearing the whole armor of God, protected, equipped, able to withstand the enemy's tricks because I'm covered by Your provision. In Jesus' name, Amen.”
