Could you imagine what the trilogy would've been like if it was Ben Solo, resistance leader alongside General Organa who is fighting against the First Order and its leader General Snoke and Rey Palpatine (who is being guided and groomed into a sith empress by her grandfather).

It could've followed Ben reconnecting with Han, Chewie and Luke as he fights to save the galaxy.

Rey and Ben's chemistry, connection and soul bond would've been celebrated and heralded as the best star wars romance as people would've been more open to dark!rey being 'saved' by good boy Benny without the labels of abusive and anti-feminist.

They would've kissed in the first movie, said I love you in the second and it would've ended with them married with children and a happily ever after. Instead, it ended with Ben choosing the light after years of manipulation and abuse and then dying, leaving his soul mate Rey alone cos strong independent women can't have it all. Tragic
