I really want to see a MOTA fic where Marge writes Bucky for some reason early on, in addition to writing to Gale. And it quickly becomes clear that the Buckies are reading each others letters. She'll make a claim on Gale in a letter to Bucky that Gale refutes in his own reply. Or she'll suggest something to Gale and Bucky is the one who tells her how it goes. Pretty soon she's writing individual and collective letters back and forth during the war. They build intimacy with her and thus with each other. When they end up in the Stalag, she writes letters to both of them, a little about her own life of course but full of words to keep their spirits up. All throughout this there have been euphamisms and lots of extremely oblique acknowledgements of what she suspects they want from each other and from her, but also what she wants from them. She enourages them to take care of one another, phrasing it in a particular, careful, but completely innocent manner. I'm aching for an intimate slow-build punctuated by letters the Buckies exchange with Marge. And I imagine a happily ever after for the three of them.

yeah let's give egan a romantic scene with a woman who mentions that her pilot husband went missing after a mission, presumed dead or a pow, and then when cleven goes missing after a mission, presumed dead or a pow, lets have them say "who's going to tell egan?" and cut back to him lying in bed reaching out to the empty space next to him symbolizing that his own pilot husband is gone. but that cant mean anything.
