I question my own writing choices most of the time.

holy balls i set out to write a revenge smut fic about this one really shitty manhwa/novel that i was betrayed by in like 5 different ways, and. i,,, somehow managed to write the shitty mc into a really sick and fucked up abusive relationship??? i. i did NOT mean to do this i just farted and it came out that way. im gonna cry? like god, textbook abuse going on here and i didnt even research and put him in the situation with the intent of turning him into a victim of abuse??? but like. fuck me sideways with a chainsaw i guess this is what's happening now.

Why are all of my fics running amok out of my control. is this what it's like to be a fic author,,,???? LET ME OUUUUUUT

So, um! whoopsie is what i'd like to say but i think we're in for the long haul on my fic. its gonna be at like 10k words on the second chapter guys. every time i keep looking at the outline and am like "oh this is fine its not too much" and then i start writing. and every sentence of the outline is worth about 5k words.

i've been clawing away at it slowly but we should be done with most of the recap in the third chapter and we can finally move on to the inciting event in the billdip relationship. can't wait to celebrate for that!

(also every chapter is gonna have at least one illustration if not more because im extra and like to make more work for myself!) <(a person who desperately wants to make fanart for his own fic.)

anyway yeah thats the update time to get back in the trenches of writing again bye

its been taking me a long ass time to develop the relationship between dipper and Morrison so im so sorry for the wait. gh. god i still wanna finish the illustration too. but yeah im almost at the end of chapter two. homestretch baby,,,

at least we're getting a little bit of billdip finally?? more crumbs.....

how non-writers think writing works: creating a detailed outline and plan, writing each section carefully and weaving in all the different story threads like a master creator, expertly creating a masterpiece with care and precision

how writing actually works: daydreaming that one scene, creating a half-formed plot in a daze all around it, swearing at characters that don't magic themselves into existence, becoming absolutely obsessed with the story for a solid week, it becomes your entire life, you sit down open a blank word document and write approximately two and a half chapters, lose interest, daydream an entirely new idea for a new story, rinse and repeat

Dipper was fine. He was here in Gravity Falls, no horrific past in sight, and everything would be dandy now. Pay no mind to the skeletons under his bed, or the serial killer on the loose roaming towards Oregon, or the strange blond teenager with one eye and a no-good attitude who seems to seek pain like he's never tasted it before. This time, no one would get hurt and the past could quietly disappear into the forest soil. Dipper would be just fine, and normal, and wouldn't miss what he was never supposed to have in the first place. The blood was for decoration only, and memories were just that- memories. What happens to the child who is groomed to enjoy causing suffering when they leave the nest? Does the blood poured onto your hands by another still stain your skin after the fact? Who do you become once your whole identity is molded around violence? The story of a child taken as the apprentice of a prolific serial killer is not a kind one. What once was the victim becomes the perpetrator, until the roles have become so intertwined that they're indistinguishable. ---- Dipper makes an unfortunate friend in his youth. Everything changes.

Very dead dove: do not eat type of story. Relationship is generally enthusiastically consensual between the Billdip, but it is incredibly gorey. Dipper centric.

When I said the fic was slowburn, even I didn't realize just how slowburn it was going to be.

We're going to be at like 10k words before they get to have any kind of charged moment. Low estimate. A whole plotline has to occur before any 'romance' is even possible. Plot has stolen the wheel from my hands and I can't bring myself to fight it anymore.

We're in for the long haul, folks.
