The South Shields Poltergeist - Throughout 2006, a family were terrorised by an unseen force. The poltergeist seemed to fixate on their 3-year-old son’s toys. One night, the couple, Marc and Marienne, were awoken by toys being thrown at them from across the room, before the duvet was violently ripped from their bed. Within minutes, Marc felt a fire-hot burning sensation over his back. The following morning, scratches all along his back could be seen. Disturbingly, the family would wake up in the morning to bizarre messages written on their son’s etch a sketch. Shortly thereafter, they even began to receive alarming text messages which read: “You’re Dead” or “Go Die.” When they contacted authorities, the text messages could not be traced. Unsurprisingly, the young family soon moved house.
