Right below my studio is @onegirlcookie where I met the amazing cookie creator @emilyscookieart. After using her cookies for a holiday video I thought -what could be better than creating something for Valentines Day?!  Emily showed me these sweet cookies and with the help of @whatbettefound we created this short piece. Keith @theshiversmusic wrote the 🎼 I’m so honored to have collaborated with these amazing artists on this project.

I’m so please to be included in the exhibition “Cookbook 19” at MOCO - Montpellier Contemporian La Panacée opening on February 9 through May 12. They even chose the image of the popcorn for the poster! So please that our Vegetable and Fruit series won first place in the IPA awards for “professional advertising-food” and honorable mention in still life. @whatbettefound and @eugenejho and I wanted to reimagine the classic still- life in a contemporary way. Loved💕our collaboration.

Ready for spring but it’s taking it’s time in the northeast! I found these lovely peasprouts in the Ballard farmer’s market while visiting my sister Jean Galton. She happens to be a talented food stylist who because we live on different coasts, we never get to work together. While visiting we shot these images; all the ingredients were found on our walk through the market.

This is a new series in collaboration with Mariana Velasquez. These images are inspired by objects from my mother’s kitchen and the art work of Lee Krasner. In the first two shots we created a visual canvas with food and with what was left behind. The final shot of the finished cake combines our fantasy of Lee’s kitchen with my mom’s. Both had a true love for the bays and ocean found at the end of LI.

I just had the privilege to work on this wonderful campaign, #RespectHer♡, an initiative to reframe Valentine’s Day as the time to fight for women’s rights. Instead of typical Valentine’s Day gifts, give your loved one the gift of respect with your donation. This donation will go to nonprofit charities that are working to fight sexual harassment and assault to create a safer and more equal future for all women. Learn more about the initiative here.

Cena Rosa is a new promo done with Tastemaker Mariana Velasquez. This series is inspired by the prolific architect Luis Barragán. Known for his extravagant lifestyle, he had an unquenchable thirst for beauty that permeated his craft and pastimes alike. From his silk shirts, knit ties and chauffeured Cadillac, to the pink meals and and sherry-drizzed melons he’d request from his maid, Barragán imparted and intangible decadence to his legacy.
