Today wants Day 414 of my 1000 day meditation. Woot woot! I've been practicing yoga for over 15 years and it really wasn't until I decided to do this 1000-day practice that I had some tangible evidence of the transformative process that is my yoga. My career is expanding, my relationships are far more richer, my health is continually improving & more importantly, the way I talk to myself is elevating. Do I have shit times? Yeah, I'm still having a human existence, but the "this is fucked" time are more like moments and not days or weeks. Can I hold headstand in the middle of the room after my neck injury? Not yet, but I'm gaining more stability everyday. Stability in my body and in my life. I don't like to talk about my heart scars when they are fresh on social media because it can be like jumping in the ocean with a open wound. A man, who relatively recently in my yoga journey became a teacher of mine, passed away. While his lessons and legacy lives on, my heart was indeed saddened by this loss. I am very fortunate to still have access to incredible teachers who studied under him and will continue to study with so that I too can share the wisdom that T.K.V. Desikachar passed on to us.
