I've got the next part of Slopes outlined and detailed and ready to write, and I'm slowly digging in and I am loving it. To stay motivated, a little Moodboad Monday of Lexa going hard on the hill.

Lexa is in hyper focus mode, Clarke is smitten and letting herself be, the two of them get to let everything happen out in the open and catch everyone's reaction to things finally becoming official between them, and Raven and Lexa catch up across the room from Anya and Clarke doing the same.

This chapter stays sweet while the angst looms around the corner. Three honest questions is a blend of silly and serious in this chapter, Clarke and Lexa eat up any second of alone time they can get, and they finally get the sweet, sweet solace of going home to Clarke's place just the two of them.

I've got a chill week this week and I am supposed to be resting a lot, so send your good vibes that I can bring this thing together!

God, my job is literally killing me. I've been at this place for three years, and everything was fine — but over the last four months, it's become absolutely awful. All because one super toxic person joined the company and has been tearing the team apart with gossip and office politics.

I hate people like that.

I have no energy left, not even for writing fanfics — which always used to be my escape. Total nightmare.

I finished my re-read of Slopes to gear up to try and get some more chapters out! Showing some love for Lexa and Anya's intense and honest friendship in Slopes. I had forgotten a little about Raven and Clarke's BFF recap in part ten.

“These are two of the best snowboarders on the planet. When this is over for them, they’re going to live strange, long, semi-unfulfilled lives if they don’t win that last prize they wanted before they get too old to do it. They’ve both been working their whole lives towards one goal that technically they’re fighting to take from their very best friend in the whole world. Of course they want to be told that they’re gonna be okay,” Raven scoffed. “No one in their lives has ever told them that. They treat everything and everyone like they’re going to lose it, including themselves.”

I think these two might be my favorite of my Anya & Lexa Dynamics. I've been doing a lot of work on what their pasts together were like, what Anya's life before Trikru was like, and I've been picking away at a one shot about Lexa giving Raven the "If you're not careful with my friend..." talk for the first time back in the day.

Send your good vibes to my brain to get some writing done. I'm feeling excited about it in a way I like.

Oh, it takes an INCREDIBLE amount of time... I use several AIs at once, and I also search for stock videos or clips from TV shows.

Writing prompts for generating photos (and AI often produces complete garbage, so I have to try many times to get exactly what I need) — the same story goes for video generation. Writing the script, editing... oh, overall, it costs me a lot of nerves — I even get an eye twitch sometimes from nervous tics, lol.

But I love bringing this work to life so much... nothing can stop me. 😅

Chapter 32: Hunting Ground

Lexa put the phone away and turned. Her eyes found Clarke immediately. The senator had not taken her eyes off her once, standing at the edge of the lit section of the garage. Graves gave Collins a quick nod to let him know she needed two minutes, then headed toward Clarke.

Clarke felt her breath catch. When Lexa stopped in front of her, she carried the smell of gun oil, cold air, and the kind of danger that comes off someone fully prepared to kill. The commander’s mask was still set hard across her face, but deep in her pupils, when they met Clarke’s gaze, something flickered with pain.

“Come with me.” Lexa took her gently by the elbow and drew her into a narrow, dark recess behind stacked equipment crates, hidden from curious eyes and camera lenses.

In the half-dark, the hum of idling engines became muted, turning into a low vibration under their feet. Clarke broke first. She pressed herself into Lexa almost desperately, clutching at the stiff fabric of her jacket with shaking fingers. She made no attempt to hide it.

“I’ve never seen...” Clarke faltered, pressing her forehead to Lexa’s shoulder, feeling the hard line of body armor under her chin. “How this happens. All this equipment, these weapons... it feels so final.”

Lexa set both hands on Clarke’s waist and pulled her in sharply, forcing their bodies into full contact. Even through the layers of gear, Clarke could feel the physical calm in her, steady and grounded, passing into her like warmth from heated stone and quieting the storm inside.

“Because it is final, Clarke. That’s the point.”

“Promise me.” Clarke lifted her head, burying her face for a moment in the curve of Lexa’s neck. She inhaled greedily, as if trying to memorize her scent. “Promise me you’ll be careful. That you’ll come back. I won’t survive it if this night takes you too. It’s too much... too much for one person.”

Lexa drew back from her slowly, with obvious effort, just enough to look her in the eyes. In them she saw not only mortal fear for Lizzie, but the naked, desperate attachment Clarke no longer bothered trying to hide. Graves lifted a hand, and her fingers felt frighteningly rough as they touched the delicate skin of Clarke’s cheek. Her thumb moved slowly across Clarke’s lower lip, making it part slightly.

“Look at me, Clarke,” Graves said quietly. “This is what I’ve done my whole life. We are not going in there to die. We’re going to take back what’s ours. Do you hear me? Ours.”

Clarke inhaled sharply, her lashes trembling. Without breaking the heavy, magnetic contact between them, Lexa bent toward her. The kiss was deep, lingering, and devastatingly intimate. It held promise, rage, and all the tenderness Lexa never trusted herself enough to put into words. Clarke answered instantly, threading her fingers into the hair at the back of Lexa’s head, trying to breathe that certainty into herself.

When they pulled apart, both of them were breathing hard. Lexa didn’t let her go, pressing her forehead to Clarke’s and letting their breath mix. Her hand slid to the back of Clarke’s neck, holding her in that moment for a few seconds longer.

“Stay in Rivers’s office,” Lexa whispered against her lips. “Sonny will keep feeding you updates. Do not try to contact Julia or make contact yourself. Trust me. Let me finish this.”

“I already trust you more than I trust anyone,” Clarke breathed, eyes closed. “Go.”

Lexa gave her hand one last hard squeeze, almost painful, then stepped back out of the shadows in a single sharp motion. Her whole body changed immediately. Her shoulders squared, her stride turned clipped and exact, and her face became a sealed, unreadable mask again.

Clarke remained standing in the dimness, her fingertips pressed to her burning mouth, where the taste of Lexa still lingered.

“Teams, in the vehicles!” Lexa’s voice rang through the garage, bouncing off the concrete walls.

Dozens of people moved chaotically through the smoky dimness. Some were dancing on the couches; others were making out right there on the floor. Lexa spotted Clarke almost immediately.

She was dead center, perched on the kitchen island, and dressed to match the madness: glitter everywhere, a tiny sparkly top, and shorts that looked more like a decorative belt than actual fabric. At that exact moment she was grinding on some tattooed guy while kissing a girl with neon-green hair.

The second she noticed Lexa, Clarke pulled away from both of them, her face lighting up with delight Lexa might have mistaken for sincerity if she hadn’t already known what a calculated bitch lived under that smile. Clarke hopped down from the counter, grabbed an open champagne bottle, and practically flew toward her.

“Bugs Bunny! Did you come to wish me a happy birthday?” Clarke slung an arm around Lexa’s neck, all alcohol and citrus perfume. “Come on, forget your serious little face for five minutes! Drink!”

“Clarke, turn this shit off right now!” Lexa tried to shove her off, yelling straight into the blonde’s ear. “It’s 3:00 a.m.! People are sleeping! Do you understand I’m about two seconds away from calling the police?”

But Clarke acted like she couldn’t hear a word. She just laughed harder and spun Lexa around to face the crowd.

“Hey, everybody! Look at this miracle!” she squealed, presenting Lexa to the guests. “This is my neighbor. She writes about sports, but deep down she’s a true Lakers star! Show them your legs, Wright!”

In one wild motion, Clarke threw the champagne bottle upward, and a blast of icy foam drenched Lexa from head to toe. Her T-shirt stuck to her body instantly, going half transparent.

Lexa froze, feeling the sticky droplets sliding down her face.

In that moment, she didn’t just want to call the cops—she wanted to throw Clarke out the fucking window herself. It was humiliating. It was stupid. It was Clarke Griffin in her purest, unfiltered form.

“Are you completely fucking insane, Griffin?” Lexa growled, wiping her eyes with the heel of her palm.

Clarke pressed in close, staring up at her with those huge glittering eyes. She was obscenely beautiful in the middle of all this chaos, and that only made Lexa angrier.

“Oh, come on. You’re so boring, Wright. Such a boring little Texas girl. You want me to turn it down? You want silence for your precious sleep?”

Clarke smiled filthily and dragged one finger along Lexa’s collarbone.

“Okay. Here are the terms: one tequila body shot with me, and I’ll lower the volume. Deal?”

“No shots, Clarke!” Lexa tried to move back, but the crowd had already closed in around them, chanting, “Drink! Drink! Drink!”

“Oh, don’t be difficult.”

Clarke moved fast. Before Lexa could even get her hands up, the blonde shoved a juicy lime wedge into her mouth. Lexa’s teeth snapped shut on reflex. Clarke, eyes shining, quickly poured salt into the hollow between Lexa’s collarbone and shoulder, then bent down and licked it off in one slow, dragging motion that sent a shiver racing down Lexa’s spine.

Someone shoved a tequila shot into Clarke’s hand. She knocked it back in one swallow, then before Lexa could even process what was happening, leaned in toward her face.

With the lightest brush of lips, Clarke plucked the lime wedge straight from Lexa’s mouth, grazing her lips in the process.

At that exact moment, the front door—which Octavia had never bothered to close—swung wider open.

Lucy stood in the doorway.

She was wearing Lexa’s robe, hastily thrown on, her hair messy from sleep, and her face held that awful mix of concern and rising shock. Lucy saw everything: Lexa soaked in champagne, Clarke practically kissing her to take the lime.

Clarke pulled away first.

She chewed the lime slowly, looking straight at Lucy. Her whole expression changed in an instant. No drunken haze. No blur. Just something cold, sharp, frighteningly aware. She understood everything in a second: the robe, the hour, Lucy’s face.

Then Clarke threw both hands up dramatically, let out a theatrical sigh, and strode over to the DJ setup somebody had turned into a makeshift booth. She grabbed the volume knob and cranked it down hard.

The music dropped to a background thud.

“Okay, everybody!” Clarke shouted over the groans of protest from the crowd. “Quiet time! We’re interrupting my favorite neighbor’s sex life, and I refuse to be responsible for anyone’s dissatisfaction!”

The room exploded into mocking laughter.

Octavia, standing right next to Lexa, let out a whistle and added sweetly, “Ooh, sorry, ladies. We’ll be quieter. But if not, feel free to come join us.”
